Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
What is your opinons on Sullinger if he grades out 6'8 265 vs 6'10 280

He seems to struggle against taller players, but burly PFs like that seem to have success in the NBA, absolutely needs to be paired with a defensive center. He's from the Elton Brand, Boozer, David West mold so I wouldn't be shocked if his numbers were similar to theirs in time.

I'd only draft him if I had a PG he could play off of.

Raptors get....

They need an SF in the worst way, considering Demar is sort of a SF, Barnes would be the safe pick. Obviously best case scenario would be Gilchrist, but not sure how he and DeRozan would play together. Ultimately they should take Perry and play him at the 3, give you a frontcourt of 6"11, 7"1 and 7"0, he could cover up for Bargnani in shotblocking and rebounding.

Draft a PG in the second round.

Elton Brand had BOUNCE coming out of a college (think a more skilled more athletic brandon bass) and David West is far more skilled/lighter/quicker than sullinger is despite possibly being the same height

In this day and age a swingman is a swingman..Our best swingman is James Johnson. Whether Demar Derozan can play with someone is of no consequence to our draft because Demar has low ball IQ and will never be more than a Nick Young type player AT BEST. If we have a chance to pick up a MKG or Barners we're doing that in a heartbeat.

And What makes you think Perry will suddenly become a the shotblocker and rebounder he wasn't in college against smaller competition

I don't know how I am the only one who see's that Barnes is the perfect fit for the Raptors. Demar can't shoot. Barnes can stretch the floor.

a instant scoring option off the bench... Derozan is not good enough/skilled enough/ and does not have the IQ to be the go to scoring option that people seem to think he can be just because of his high school hype and athleticism

*based off 3 season of watching damn near every raptors game*

Elton Brand wasn't that explosive, what he had/has is an absurd standing reach. And West wasn't overly skilled coming out of College, he worked to improve his mid-range shot which allowed him to play the PnR with Cp3. He's from the same mold in that if he's 6"9, he'll be average height for a PF, burly and will need the mid-range jumper as his first weapon to build off of.

Demar took a step back last season, but he's still talented and he's better than Young. I pointed out MKG is the best case scenario, even though I don't know how he would play with Demar :yeshrug: . If Barnes and Perry are on the board, honestly I take Perry just because of the higher ceiling, sure he could be a bust but in this case both are Sophs, both had underwhelming seasons but Perry has more room for improvement.

I didn't say Perry would turn into a great shotblocker, he could clean-up on the weakside though and being better than Bargs as a shotblocker doesn't really require much. He could improve simply from no longer having to guard PF/Cs anymore.

you're not the only one. James Johnson is a point forward, and CAlderon can get the ball to a guy like Barnes for that spot up jumper. And I think barnes shot creation is actually underrated in that it will be much easier to do with his length, solid quickness and the spacing that the nba game comes with. It would also do wonders for Barganani IMO

My only issue with that is you'll have two guys just standing out around the perimeter in Bargnani/Barnes, and a PG that really can't get into the lane in Calderon. Not one person who can truly break down a defense.

He's a safe pick for the Raptors, but since you have Valanciunas coming over might as well take a gamble.

If we get the 8th pick, I hope Barnes will be taken by then. I'm not too big on PJ3 either

And Calderon shouldn't even be here next season, at least not starting
