I still don't see how the fukk Gordon has more potential. Vonleh, sure (maybe), but Gordon? How?

To me; he has all the intangibles you can't teach. He doesn't even turn 19 until September. Insane athleticism, great basketball instincts, great work ethic, really good defense, fearless, etc. He just needs to fix his shot and put on some weight, but all indications are he'll put in the work.

They literally had to put stools under the jumping reach meters at the combine because he out jumped the damn thing when it was flat on the ground.

He can basically be Blake Griffin but with way better defense and way better shot blocking. Blake couldn't shoot coming out of college too and had the same free throw difficulties.

38.5 inch vert, an inch higher than Vonleh .5 inches lower than Aaron Gordon

Vonleh has a 9'0" standing reach though, so Randle still can't reach as high :lupe:

Yeah. I totally get people saying Vonleh could have more potential hes tall and long and has shown 3pt range, but Aaron Gordon, while a good defender and rebounder, he can't shoot for shyt and is like 6'7. I still don't understand how tom crean gets any 5* recruits

I think people are hoping Gordon can do what Kawhi did and transition to the 3, but the fact he's such an awful freethrow shooter is kind of :ld: I mean I can understand legitimate bigs having trouble at the line, but a dude that is trying to bill themselves as a 3? As a wing you should at least have the fundamentals to make freethrows...

Kawhi's finals performance helped Aaron Gordon more than any workout, interview, combine, etc.

Man I hope one of those 3 are available. I don't see Embiid/Wiggins/Parker dropping past 4.

It happens every year. It's already pretty much happened to Randle already, going into the season it was Wiggins/Parker/Randle as the top 3. It happened to Noel last year, he was pretty much a lock to go number one and ended up going 6th.

I can pretty much guarantee you that one of Wiggins/Parker/Embiid/Exum will make it to 6 or 7. It's looking like it's going to be Exum. In these type of scenarios players like this, a top player only wants to work out for top 2 or 3 teams usually so when he unexpectedly slips, teams aren't prepared for it and already have their sights set on somebody else and are way too afraid to make a last minute panic decision.

I know the Celtics and Lakers have done their research on Exum (without getting a visit) but I don't think Utah would take him for a bunch of reasons.
