Draft news and updates:
1. Milwaukee believes Parker can play PF (which would really change the draft).
2. Denver's shopping #11 for a proven commodity. Charlotte, LA, Sacramento, Utah are also shopping their picks (Utah to move back, Charlotte to move up, LA and Sacramento for vet help).
3. Arron Afflalo would prefer to go to a contender (I'd keep an eye on Golden State, especially if they make a blockbuster trade)
4. According to Chad Ford, nobody in the top 10 will pick Dario Saric if he stays overseas for another year.
5. Ford also believes the C's are leaning towards Aaron Gordon at 6. This would also mean (from a Kevin Love trade watch) that should they pick him, Love won't go there since Flip Saunders is down on Gordon.
6. Enes Kanter is trade bait, perhaps to Philly (only if they can't move up. They'll try but realistically 1, 2, and 3 are immovable pieces)
7. If Minnesota moves up in the draft (via Love trade) Marcus smart is Flip's #1 pick. Hardy speculative since he's the only non PF he requested for a workout. Smart has yet to sign up.
1. Jabari playing the 4 seems ridiculous. I thought him playing that position was an excuse for some of his bad performances this year. I would draft him at #2 because I don't think Giannis is going to become the player GMs and combine nerds project him to be.
2. I wonder about the success rate of teams shopping their picks, especially Charlotte since I live around the area. Is there a team in the top 5 that would move down for the #9, #24, and a player? Do Charlotte and Utah make a deal? I think Sac gets out of the pick because they seem adamant on not adding a young player. It would behoove Denver by trading the pick, but I don't think the market is flooding with suitors for that pick.
3. If GS could somehow get Affalo, then Klay being untouchable goes out the window. If Bob Myers can get Affalo and an All-NBA/All-Star player, then he's the frontrunner GM of the year for the '14-'15 season.
4. Looking at Saric's skillset, he never came off as a lottery pick to me. I know players improve over time, but he seems more of a 18-24 type of guy to me.
5. I have a hard time believing that Gordon jumps up to #6. I know you're a Wolves fan, would you like to have Gordon in a package deal?
6. I thought the Enes and Favors tandem can improve, but I understand why Utah would like to get a feel on the market for Kanter. Favors is slowly improving, and if they keep the pick and choose Vonleh, that is a better combo imo.
7. I'm not high on Smart. Combo guards who should be two's but can't shoot always give me the
