That dude Kevin Steele almost finessed his way into the FSU job years ago thank god it didn't happen

Who you telling...game makes me sick til this day knowing they won it all and it pretty much was us that shut them down and should have won that game. Nick "dirty ass" Fairly got home cooking on a Roughing call where he was late getting to Parker then made sure he put a little extra weight on him which injuryed Parker sorry ass. After than he couldn't even throw the ball longer than 10yrds. Then ironically one of our best kickers in recent history Catanzaro missed a chip shot do-over FG to send the game into double OT. SMH.

That was the game gave Auburn confidence for the rest of that season.

I was rooting for Clemson big time that game. But man Parker was trash. Was Boyd at Clemson that year? He was redshirting that year right?

@malbaker86 Some of my Niners brehs are hyping your boy Driskell up as an accurate QB who displayed great decision making. :scust:

Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see any of that at Florida. Of course he did improve at La Tech but I'm not about to get excited about this dude. But hey niner fans love QBs who play the game the white I mean right way :mjpls::lolbron:

Tajh redshirted the year before...but he wasn't ready that game. Just the game before he threw 9 passes... 2 were INT's vs fukking Presbyterian. Parker's problem was that he never was fully focused on football. He should have just picked either Baseball or Football and stuck with it. He was a very good athlete and he's in the Majors League now in Baseball but even prior to the season most Clemson fans were ready to move on from him after he dimly lit up Kentucky for a like 120 yds in the bowl game. :mjcry:

Speaking of that Iron Bowl. No way in hell should've lost that game. Two biggest plays imo was the goal line fumble and the Ingram getting the ball punched out his arms. That first half was amazing though, what we did to Cam in the 1st half was what the Broncos did to him in the Super Bowl.

Auburn's defense is getting back to the depth it had under Tommy Tuberville. Muschamp and now Steele have helped to build that depth, but Rodney Garner is really doing work on the defensive side. This d-line might be the best Auburn has had since Tuberville had guys like Quentin Groves, Sen'Derrick Marks, not to mention Will Herring, Jerraud Powers, etc. and was killing Urban Meyer at Florida with his defense.

I'm not doubting that. I'm just hoping Steele has learned from his biggest issue while he was at Clemson and apparently other places. Simplifying his scheme!! Usually what happened was his calls were so confusing that the players didn't know wtf to do or where to be because they stated that his schemes were too complex. It had to be some truth to it because when Venables came in he simplified the scheme and those same players excelled and we jumped like 20 spots the next year.

It should be a good game and I've already ramped up my shyt talking to the Auburn fans I come across. Some are good sports and invited me to tailgate with them if I make it to the game...others....nah...they wasn't having that.

I stopped at the McDonald's in Opelika coming from out of town to piss right quick and decided I was going to get something to eat. As I was looking at the menu I noticed a few of the workers looking at me funny and I was like wtf is wrong with these people. I completely forgot I had my Clemson sweatsuit on that I wear when I drive long distances b/c it's comfortable. This chick was like...you ready to order "Mr. Clemson" :usure: ... I was like :whoa: "Hell nah... I forgot were I was at" "Y'all ain't spittin in my shyt" :myman: She was like " Fukk Clemson" .... I was like :umad: and dipped out. I didn't stop to eat until I got home...lol.

We're actually a player led team now. He made Dobbs, Kamara, Sutton, and Reeves-Maybin permanent captains for a reason.

Think of Butch Jones like Larry Coker. He's there just to chaperone. The players are leading the team.
So expect more arrest is what your saying, gonna be hot summer? :mjlol:

Almost all the dudes dancing at the end are gone to the NFL.

Everyone who played for Tennessee that night is back.

Be scared is right. It takes young teams a while to learn how to win. Last year was that tough lesson.

This year we taking it out on everyone else.

Tennessee = 2012 FSU potential it took Jimbo a few years to trim a little fat and also learn how to be a HC in some key spots he let a few games get away similar to how UT pissed away a few. I can remember off top Jimbo blowing games vs Wake and UVA in 2011 and we had a RB botch an easy PA TD vs NC State the year before that.

Only difference between FSU and Tennessee is FSU was able to beat the 2 main rivals we gotta see if Tennessee can get over the Florida and Alabama hurdles in 2016.

I remember this being the game that put FSU back on the map. Still remember being mad as shyt about the Iron Bowl the day before.

Yeah even though Florida was ass compared to the other Urban years this was a game FSU needed I missed this game live traveling to LA.

Even though we lost I'll say the game vs Oklahoma in 2011 was a big deal even though we lost FSU made a statement showing that they had some young strong lions that had the potential to bring us back. It's a shame that team imploded with injuries throughout that season especially on the offensive side of the ball team had no business losing 4 games that season but like I said in a previous post Jimbo pissed away a couple games coaching scared we have no business losing to schools like Wake or UVA injuries or not.

He's old school and has already said he's had to change the way he coaches young players today. As far as this group of Auburn defensive players.....A lot of them have experience and it's not going to be totally new to them. But this is college football, not professional, so we can't say this or that player will consistently play up to his potential. Just looking forward to the season. But we have 4 months before any games so I am going to enjoy my time between now and then.

LSU players were saying the same thing after this past season. He hasn't changed that much
