Like seeing some of the bullshyt rankings these mags come out with.

Was big into collecting covers back when I was younger loved getting those SI college football covers too. All time favorite was this one from 1996

Same here. I STILL have Athlon's magazines from 99...the ACC edition and the SEC edition.

Give me OL and a RB all day with a DL on point. I miss them old FSU squads from back in the mid 90s that Boulware/Wilson combo at DE and Dunn with our OL run blocking shyt was :blessed: we just didn't have enough at QB to beat UF a couple games or we probably have 2 more NC's on resume.

Don't think we'll EVER see the talent that UF vs FSU had facing each other from 93 to 2000.

Man I use to LOVE the chess match between Spurrier and Mickey Andrews :ohlawd:

Already know this is his last year. Hope he goes out with a chip. Best back in the nation

He deserved better than Golson/SMag last year under center :francis:

Yeah he should've got an invite to NYC at least people who didn't watch FSU last season don't understand how big time this kid was.

I agree and that's why when Dabo said Cook was the best RB in the Nation....I was like

Gotta watch that Clemson/Auburn game from that year again I remember being crazy in love with my GF at the time and watching end of that game with her at a Mexican joint. Man Clemson stay blowing games in that era Auburn should've been out of the hunt that night.

Who you telling...game makes me sick til this day knowing they won it all and it pretty much was us that shut them down and should have won that game. Nick "dirty ass" Fairly got home cooking on a Roughing call where he was late getting to Parker then made sure he put a little extra weight on him which injuryed Parker sorry ass. After than he couldn't even throw the ball longer than 10yrds. Then ironically one of our best kickers in recent history Catanzaro missed a chip shot do-over FG to send the game into double OT. SMH.

That was the game gave Auburn confidence for the rest of that season.

Sounds like our future backup went to start there. Joey Gatewood is the only one that matters

That was Clemson's national championship that year, they played above their heads. You're also disrespecting the greatest quarterback in football history and his squad

I can only think of one QB who legit carried a school to an NC and that was Cam in 2010 he was man amongst boys.
Auburn had a pretty clutch defense back then, they had Michael Dyer and Onterio McCalebb, fantastic running backs in their respective roles. Darvin Adams and Phillip Lutzenkirchen (RIP) also were great receivers. Wes Byrum was also one of the best kickers in the nation.

(Darvin unfortunately left a year early and got fukked up by the next level and Phillip probably could've been a top 3 TE drafted if Auburn's passing game wasn't a hot sweaty late 1980s pornstar anus (it's necessary to describe how bad this passing game was). Lutz was worn down by the fact they used this nikka like basically an offensive tackle and his stock fell into a lonely trash can on the side of the road)

Point is that team doesn't get enough credit

We picked Cam off twice and he only completed 7 passes. Dabo was still working with Tommy Bowden recruits in his 2nd season with Billy Napier running a different offense every week...lol.

Y'all better hope that y'all are getting 2010 Kevin Steele where we had a top 10 defense....and not 2011 Kevin Steele that looked like a rookie coach that lied on his resume.

Auburn's defense is getting back to the depth it had under Tommy Tuberville. Muschamp and now Steele have helped to build that depth, but Rodney Garner is really doing work on the defensive side. This d-line might be the best Auburn has had since Tuberville had guys like Quentin Groves, Sen'Derrick Marks, not to mention Will Herring, Jerraud Powers, etc. and was killing Urban Meyer at Florida with his defense.

We're getting the Kevin Steele that will take that talented ass defense and make it a top 50 defense :wtb:
If we don't beat Clemson though, I'll be mad as shyt. We a year and a half removed from a respectable ass win. We got as much talent as Clemson everywhere except QB (and more at certain places), I'm tired of losing to good teams
