UTs 2016 class only has 4 more spots left.

We most likely finish with:

1. 5 star DE Jonathan Kongbo - after decommitting a few weeks back, we're back to being favorites to sign him. An African connection is helping us here. One of our current commits (in state 4 star LB Daniel Bituli) comes from the same area of the Congo as Kongbo. Kongbo's family who lives in Canada were concerned about the distance. Bituli's family have smoothed things over by saying they'll take care of him at Tennessee.

2. 4 star S Nigel Warrior - legacy kid. Son of UT legend Dale Carter. Flirted with Alabama but has been a Tennessee Iean for a while. Official visit last weekend before signing day.

3. 4 star OT Landon dikkerson - this is a close one between us and Florida State. Kid is from western North Carolina not too far from Knoxville. Distance wins us this battle. Official visit last weekend before signing day.

4. 5 star DT Derrick Brown - most think this is between Georgia and Auburn. However we are his last official visit. Mom loved Butch Jones and Marc Richt early on. With Richt gone, word is we're moms favorite spot. This is probably the biggest reach of the top 4 here but many UT insiders feel good about where we are with him.

Surprise Flip

5. 4 star ATH Tyler Bryd - currently he's a Miami commit however his lead recruiter at Miami (Larry Scott) is now at Tennessee. We also get him in for an official visit the last weekend before signing day. His best friend who he's lived with since 8th grade is currently committed to Tennessee (RB Carlin Fils-Aime). We'll have to make room for him by kicking a lower rated guy to the curb. But this kid is worth a little bad press. If you watched the Army All-American game he was the best player on the field that day.

Tennessee could be in for a huge signing day this year. Even with limited numbers we'll finish with a top 10 class if we land these 5 big fish.

Not really. Callaway is more highly rated (top 100 prospect on rivals) than Jones and he was higher on our board.

Word is we also turned down Binjimen Victor last week. If you remember he committed to Ohio State one day after his official visit to Tennessee. A recruiting insider on one of the tennessee message boards said that Victor wanted to commit to Tennessee but since we were tight on numbers and knew Callaway was ready to commit we said no. And if you remember a day later Victor commits to Ohio State.

Only receiver we wanted more than Callaway is Mecole Hardman. And homie looks headed to Alabama.

We're tight on numbers this year so we could only take 1 more receiver. Callaway turned out to be the guy.

We've had to turn away a lot of kids last 2 years cause we're tight on numbers.
Guess who ain't read that shyt :mjpls:

Louisiana has 21 players rated four or five stars in 247Sports’ composite rankings. No other state produced more highly rated recruits (four or five stars) compared to state population.

There are 4.49 highly rated prospects for every 500,000 males in Louisiana this year, leading the nation — by a wide margin.

The number is double the amount of Florida, where there are 2.26 four- and five-star players for every 500,000 males. Texas, known nationally as the jewel of high school football talent, averages just 1.89 highly rated prospects for every 500,000 men.

Louisiana’s stiffest competition this year comes from Mississippi (3.67 for every 500,000) and Georgia (2.54). A whopping 17 states don’t have a single four- or five-star player this year, and two of those states — New York and Massachusetts — have a bigger population than Louisiana’s 4.67 million.

The Advocate’s Super Dozen: Another bumper crop of football recruits, but this one looks historic

If we don't win the SEC east next season and put ourselves in position to make the playoffs if we win the SEC championship, then I'll agree with you the team was an abject failure.

But we're not there yet so you can't say we've already failed.

Gotta get out hands on Christmas-Giles, Kristan Fulton, and Mullens and our class will be set.

Looks like Texas is still leading for him. Dude had his LSU OV last weekend & is being very pro-UT on Social media while on his A&M OV going on this weekend.

His Twitter all over the place with A&M, LSU, Texas, Arkansas

This is what the various UT & FSU sites have been saying for a week. Now that Rashard Lawrence has commited to LSU & Glen Logan is no longer looking around. The other DTs that LSU are recruitng are no longer priority targets.

You watch that film room you see why Florida hired Coach Mac.He's a smart motherfukker. He stole the show imo.I got a new found respect for him after watching it.Muschamp did a great job too.All the coaches were getting annoyed as fukk with Spielman though :heh: To the point they all just started ignoring his ass.
