Still have to have the players....and they just lost some good ones on the defensive line from last year. They also run up against some good teams, so it's just tough for A&M. Potentially though, with the right coaches, they could have a run in the SEC. Sumlin just happened to be the guinea pig to find out what they actually needed to compete in the SEC. If some coach had to coach A&M for a few years in the SEC before he got there, I think he would have had a better idea and a better chance. But it didn't happen that way so

A&M is who A&M is, they go 8-4/9-3 in Big 12 every year switch conferences and go 8-4/9-3 every year. it's who they are

Honestly we should've always been in the east. It makes more sense IMO. If we're in the east we'd run it every year. And that's including our mediocre years
