There are different types of spreads. Tennessee does not run the AIR RAID like Washington State and Oklahoma State. There is a huge difference between the air raid and the type of offense Tennessee runs which is still built on a lot of pro-style concepts. Don't fall for the myth that all spread offenses are the same. Tennessee's offense is basically a pro-style offense that takes snaps from the shotgun rather than under center and utilizes the zone-read QB run game. The routes the receivers run are pro-style routes. The reads the QB makes are pro-style. The pass game concepts are pro-style. Even the plays that are called and the verbage is pro-style.

Luke Falk is a G, I've watched two or three of his predecessors, and it's easy to be an air raid QB without being accurate. Dude is throwing 40 times a game and for the games I was seeing, was hitting 70% clips it seemed like. Raping a top 40 defense in Stanford the way he did was majestic.
