You don't draft a player to be an asset later on.

If there's a player that fits better for the Sixers they should draft that player, if they can get the 5 & 10 for the 3 then yeah do that. But, as much as I like Jackson I don't see how he fits with the players they already have.

But while Okafor would be better somewhere else I think he has huge limitations to his game and is in the wrong era

While JJ may not be a perfect fit I think he'll be centrally be too good to be held back by a situation

What do y'all think of a Lakers/Sixers trade involving D'Angelo and the 3rd pick? Good move/bad move for one or both?

I been following Jackson for a minute, loved his potential but it's a weird fit, for it to work in Philly he has to become a knockdown shooter.

I like Jackson's potential a lot, but I don't see how he reaches it if Simmons has the ball as much as we expect him to, and Embiid is a very high usage player ontop of that. I think the contrast between the Bron/Wade Heat and Warriors should make teams focus just as much on team fitment as they do on simply taking the best player available. I don't see how he fits in with what they have, since they seem poised to re-sign Covington, they have Saric and no matter how much people say Simmons is a "PG" he's not going to defend that position.

I'm not exactly sure how or what they have in Ben Simmons for all I know he could come back a rim attacking faciliting monster and have Josh Jackson cutting to the basket connecting on all types of passes

Teams can't be basing their situation on the warriors success...Curry and Klay are elite shooters generational level...These dudes don't come along often and end up on the same squad.

He's they type of guard they need.

Ben and Russell were HS teammates, and Embiid was there wit Russell for a year before he transferred. Makes sense for both sides potentially.

We have a decent idea of what Simmons will be next year, and it will require shooting around him to maximize his talents until he learns to shoot himself.

Sure Klay and Curry are generational shooters, but West went with Klay over Alec Burks who was the better athlete & ball handler. If you go back and look at the 2011 Mocks, Klay going there was a bit of a reach, but West went with fitment.

PG: ? (Free Agent Signing)

SG: Jackson / Luwawu

SF: Covington

PF: Simmons / Saric

C: Embiid / Holmes

Not sure how its not a fit. Just sign a knockdown shooting PG. The fact that Jackson can handle the ball and initiate the offense is a plus IMO. :manny:

There's 1 shooter in your lineup, and it's the center :francis:

Knockdown shooting PGs don't change teams like that.

in that case do you reach for Malik Monk who fits the mold of player they want....Outside of Fultz who is the best fit.
