I'd randomize the hell outta the pools next time. Venezuela /DR/US/PR is just unfair to anyone, and if you wanna factor in how good Colombia looked,
Anyway, the definition of an underdog is someone who beats the odds (i.e. better teams) and is expected to struggle; not make it. That defines the USA after the Miami rounds.
The only reason they put Colombia and Canada in that pool was so that USA and DR would make it out. USA probably doesn't make it (again) if PR was on there like last time.
They were underdogs

even Mexico looked weak compared to the rest of the field and they're damn good themselves.
