I laugh when people say recruiting means nothing or not the end all be all. That's a damn lie.

There's a reason Frank Beamer never broke through and that's because no matter how great a coach you are, without enough elite talent, you not winning it all or making it to the title game. Yes Beamer made one natty title game but it was due to having an ELITE QB.

So when teams complain about not having a good QB or a good set of DB's or DL, remember that goes back to brining in top talent (along with developing them)

It is VERY important no doubt, But it's not the end all be all breh, trust me :francis:

When you consistently getting top classes but they're leaving the same size & weight they were coming out of HS :snoop:

Some coaches level of incompetence outweighs the talent they get. :francis:

OL and DL recruiting is most important that's all I would focus on for one recruiting cycle then go from there. Bama's 2019 class is going to have 4 OL in the top 45 of 247 player rankings once Clay Webb and Evan Neal commit and our best commits after them are 3 DE:banderas:Mullen still ain't done shyt with y'alls recruiting class I see:francis:

It's a dog chasing it's tale. It's super important, coaching them up is just as important.

That said if you aren't a Blue Blood, I question if it can be done consistently to matter. For example, would Virginia Tech ever be able to get there and maintain it to really make a prolonged run?
