If Nebraska was quality then you'd have more of a fight in the west half of the conference. Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebraska... Then throw in a cross conference game

Does Alabama ever play Georgia prior to the SEC championship?


Not often, some of these sec teams have not played (cross conference) in 8 or more years


And Nebraska better would help, but if you have flex schedule like if Nebraska or Iowa or scony is good they may play mich/psu/msu or osu to set up a good game, but think about those years Florida or uga ran the east, it’s always been the easier path, til a couple years from now when Bama and auburn go east and the west will be just as tough
