Elias rightfully gets dragged for holding onto prospects. So I like that he finally pulled the trigger for once. Just wish that it wasn't a division rival. And for a guy three+ years removed from TJS with question marks on if he can pitch a full season. Also man the price of front end arms is going up even more if Baz is commanding a haul like this.
I’d be nervous trading prospects to tampa:whoa:

Their scouting department is great
That's supposed to be Elias strong point since you know he's part of the braintrust that built up the Astros.

Talk about a name you haven’t seen in a long time.

For those who haven't kept track...

The Yankees -- the wealthiest franchise in professional baseball -- are in the midst of their longest World Series drought ever...and as of December 21st, their solutions are to sign:

Trent Grisham
Amed Rosario
Paul Blackburn
Ryan Yarbrough

A year ago people were writing like Murakami was going to be the top Japanese player on the market.
I read (and kinda felt) like he was the big fish the Yankees needed to solidify 3B.

Only 34M means there were serious doubts about whether he could handle Major League velocities.

Yeah, that early hype was strong. Going to the white sox and then also possibly being a bust of a signing.
