Considering how prized Grayson was as an arm coming up they have to be terrified of something in his medicals now. And seeing as the Angels love paying for guys that stay on the IL this probably won't come back to bite them. That said Elias better be hitting FA hard. He needs to come out of this with two front of rotation arms.

Ward should be a solid outfield piece and his power/approach will play well in Baltimore. The O's have plenty of speculative OF bats in the minors so a year of Ward won't be the worst thing they could do here. But, man can't say it enough Elias better bolster this rotation.

If this is remotely legit, then I'm cool with them doing what they had to do, even if it meant getting dimes on the dollar. I mean, I'm somewhat familiar with Ward, but it seems we already have his type on the roster in O'Neill (even though he never plays).

I do find it interesting that, if GrayRod really was acting out like that, they still decided to bring Hyde back for '25.

Saw rumors about this earlier today.
Nick Allen is a really good defender that couldn't hit at all.
:ehh:

It looks like Dubon has a little more pop and a good glove as well. Glad we have somebody who's somewhat of a threat at the plate

Locking up Raisel was a solid move by AA as well, he settled down in the 2nd half of the season and was lights out

All I want is a healthy Ronald Acuña Jr for the 2026 season.

It's crazy how similar they profile. I expect Ward to be healthier and the better overall fit for the O's. I still think there is some major flags in Grayson's medicals that is what accelerate the O's moving off of him. This other news a bit surprising but is likely more reason to move on from him. The fact that he was such a highly regarded prospect and the multiple years of control Elias better land some arms this winter.
