Umpires had a lot of latitude back in the day.

Sometimes I watch old videos of great pitching performances and I have to admit “that wasn’t a strike”

Or at least it wouldn’t be today.

Apparently the Yankees made a second offer to Cody Bellinger. And they seem motivated to get Edward Cabrera from Miami.

This was posted by Joel Sherman so who knows if it’s legit or the Yankees are leaking.

I understand that Bellinger keeps the Yankees competitive but just to put it out there: I don’t think Bellinger has as good a 2026 as he was in 2025. I think they’re trying to catch lightning in a bottle where Bellinger remains solid, and a lot of the underperformers have a 2026 breakout or fluke year.

I didn't realize just how high the Blue Jays payroll is now.

Maybe they actually do let Bichette go elsewhere.

They have a shyt load of money off the books after 2026 and free agency sucks next year....

Is Clayton Kershaw really that interesting to be a tv analyst?

Like with Big Papi, you see he has the personality that you might want to watch.

As great as Kershaw was as a player, I don’t remember anything about him as a person.

Definitely does and that’s not even because I’m a Dodger fan. Just look up some of his interviews, I’m really surprised that he isn’t coaching though honestly.

It’s also a studio analyst job, they hire uninteresting guys for that position all the time :pachaha:

Jason Garrett’s a fukking stiff and he’s a mainstay on NBC’s football broadcasts, pro and college.
