Damn can they not just fire the AD? Can’t really keep him after shytting on him like that.

I wouldn’t let him hire anyone again either with those Jimbo and BK buyouts on his hands

He’s right about the NCAA and the agents though. The agents/lawyers are making them look so inept and weak.

Say what you want about Sherrone, he doesn't bytch and whine too much, he tries to find solutions. :manny:

See how NIL is changing the college landscape? Work it into the recruiting process more.

Notice that cross-country B1G trips put the visiting team at a disadvantage? Leave a day early to try to mitigate the time change.

Don't have Harbaugh on the sidelines after he gets suspended? Coach the team to beat Penn State and Ohio in route to a national title :wow:

Do they always work? No, but I'd rather have a coach that tries to work around disadvantages than whine to the media about how unfair everything is.
I actually think Sherrone is a good coach. Not sure why such a large segment of your fanbase (or maybe it's the "vocal minority") thinks he's not getting the job done.

This year vs OSU will tell me a lot about his ability.

He has his flaws like any other coach, he has things he's done well like any other coach. He's done pretty well considering the circumstances.

Harbaugh stripped the team of its best coaches (which was understandable, can't blame him for that), so he's had to figure out his staff. Harbaugh phoned it in on the recruiting trail for like 2-3 cycles straight, so Sherrone has had to reestablish the program on that front too.

He's had to put out a lot of fires. Contrary to popular belief, he wasn't born on third base like some other coaches :sas2:

phil knight is giving lanning another couple million?
He's prolly gonna have to

Oregon is a better job in 2026, more NIL money, far less hillbillies, no crazy rival that you'll always be measured up against (Bama). Oregon vs Washington is a half ass west coast rivalry no one gives a fukk about and oregon state is a joke

Only real advantage UF has is Florida has no state income tax, so even if that rate is 3-5% he's pocketing an extra ~$400k/year :yeshrug:

Less meaningful in 2026, but I guarantee UF & LSU have significantly better facilities than Ole Miss
An overrated take (not you) but they pay state taxes on their salary where their teams play. Play in Oklahoma, pay Oklahoma state taxes. Jock tax applies to coaches as well.

Thanks for clarifying

I remember in that Magic/Penny 30 for 30 they were saying the Magic's offer to Shaq would've netted him more (I thought due to no state income tax) than the contract he eventually signed w/ the Lakers. I could be misremembering
