Those PSU boosters have to be pissed off but they shouldn’t get drastic. They should just ride it out with Franklin because who would they hire if they got rid of him? I don’t think it’s going to get any better than him. Franklin‘s main fukk ups is the QB’s he keeps choosing

sit back and hope he can pull a Ryan day or at least beat OSU. Neither are happening, so They'll probably can their OC after this season and roll into next year and run the same story back

They don’t have OSU on their schedule for the next 3-4 years starting next year
Franklin isn’t any good. Any coach can beat Purdue and lose to OSU every year

it’s been time for PSU to move on from him

I have never seen someone that has done less get treated like they're irreplaceable like Franklin.

Y'all really think there are no other coaches that can consistently win the games that they are favored by double digits.

He just had the worse lost of all time all the while getting out coached in every single big game.

Brian Kelly. This loss is worse than Kelly's losses but he performs poorly in almost any game that matters as well and LSU is a 3 loss lock which is exactly what Les Miles was. At Notre Dame he was a 3 loss lock other than the end of his run and never run the table...he loses 3 losses in almost every season of his entire career but is somehow treated like he's elite in any way.

You get the same results with both.

and you know what, when Kelly left ND no one was talking about how ND was at risk for not being competitive anymore.

Honestly, it's all about when he came along. When they got Paterno out of there, the job was toxic. Bill O'Brien took the job, and it was known to everyone that he was just taking the job as a springboard to a bigger job. Franklin came in, and was actually dedicated to improving the program and just being the Penn State coach. That bought him a LOT of leeway with the school. And any time you bring up the thought of moving on, the immediate question back is "But can you guarantee that the replacement is going to win nine or ten games a year?" They're basically the stereotypical movie character that's stuck in a shytty relationship, but won't leave because they're convinced they can't do better.

The problem with Franklin's 9 or 10 wins every year is that he's absolutely taking advantage of how imbalanced the B1G is and he even extended the finesse to not scheduling anyone tough in the OOC.

Franklin would not be winning 9 or 10 games every year if he was in a conference with better coaches and talent week to week.
