Fanbases think too deeply into how much "prestige" matters to coaches in 2025...IU proved last year it can pretty much do everything PSU currently can. Why go deal with all that pressure when you can be god-status in Bloomington for the same pay?

Adidas sponsorship aside, IU likely has deeper pockets. They have a top tier B-school with wealthy alumni. They won't be outbid by anyone, I assure you of that.
Program prestige and facilities matter far less than NIL to recruits anyway, so it's not like Cig needs to bounce to have the resources to win.
Unless they lure Cig, or maybe the Mizzou coach, PSU is going to be fukked. I shyt on Franklin a lot, but he's better than any of their realistic candidates (Rhule, Campbell)
that's why I loved the hire. hard for an alum to jump ship to another program. you'll get a longer leash too if you have a bad season here or there.
