yeah. But Judge is still doing Judge things.

but this gonna be like Lamar/Allen last season in the NFL. Judge hitting the traditional notes. But, Raleigh minus BAVG has the stats and the positional scarcity, plus his team/city is the better story for the writers.
He leads the batting title race by 13 points now too. First guy to pick up the batting title during a 50 homer season since Mickey Mantle in 1956 and only the 3rd guy to ever do it. One of just 4 guys to pick up 4 separate 50 home run seasons. Imagine how many more homers he’d have if teams would actually pitch to him. I’m really not trying to dump on Raleigh, but I saw a stat the other day that if he lost 180 points off his ops he’d be a league average hitter. Contrast that to judge who if he lost 180 points on his ops, he would be Raleigh. I think this season he’s set an AL record for intentional walks drawn. Just one game ago with 2 outs and a man on in a 1 run game in the 9th inning and the White Sox wouldn’t even pitch to him. Immediately sent him to first base on the intentional walk

Studies will be done on the 2025 Tigers.

Judge is having one of greatest overall offensive seasons of all time and he's been hurt. It's him.

Not biased at all :troll:

Tigers. And Mets. And Astros. And Blue Jays.

I havent seen 4 teams who all had World Series goals (and the squad to do it) all collapse in one season like this before. They all had divisions seemingly wrapped up, and now they all will either be on the road in the Wild Card round, or not in the playoffs at all.

I fully get you. That Judge has everything that makes sense for the MVP. I just feel with the HR's/R's/RBI's/OPS/Positional Scarcity/Playing for Seattle and not the Yankees/Winning the HR Derby. They are giving the MVP to Raleigh.

If he breaks the AL record for homers then I’ll concede that it’s not a total robbery. 1961 is looking like a valid comparison for this race too.

I don't care about using batting average as a MVP factor when we're about to have back to back seasons with less than 10 players hitting .300 or better. There league doesn't value it anymore.
:camby:
Cal Raleigh is doing this as a catcher. You're never gonna see this again, not even from him. Give the man the MVP award.

"But he's a switch hitting catcher!" :unimpressed:

People acting like leading a sport in damn near every category, while being the best contact hitter AND power hitter in the game is regular. I guess it's regular if you're Judge. The funny thing is, if they had the same amount of homers this wouldnt even be a debate.
