I wouldn't want him on the Yankees.

Aside from being a poor team culture guy (which the Yankees tend to value a lot), Devers is effectively a DH. And the Yankees are full of guys who are already DHs (Rice, Stanton) or who will eventually be a DH (Judge).

I rarely watch random Youtube videos but this one caught my eye and I clicked it. Really enjoyed it and learned some new things about some of the original ballparks from the 1800s.

I didn't say ask, I said talk. It doesn't take anything to say "look man, I understand you had a deal with ol boy but we have a real opportunity to help the team and we gotta take it. We value you so that's why I'm telling you as a man what's going down".

From every comment Devers has made, that's all he wanted to hear. Instead they just went behind his back, never had a conversation with him, and had him hear all of this through the media. That's bytchmade behavior and no amount of protecting the establishment is gonna change that.
