Anybody remember the Jackson Merrill hype heading into the season? I do.

Baseball media needs to stop hyping guys after one good/great season. This isn't basketball where once a player hits a certain point, you can expect them to maintain it for a while. It comes and goes all the time in baseball.

There's only three superstars in baseball as far as I'm concerned: Ohtani, Judge and Soto.

Don’t worry, we will probably get him back for the trade deadline for the 3rd year running :troll:

I think he’s had what, 15 starts? 8 or 9 of those were quality no decisions? He isn’t washed, his team just isn’t giving him any run support and they need to put him against 5th day starters to stack easy wins. Every start for him these days matters since everyone knows he doesn’t have a ton left in the tank.

Baseball should focus on its best players being the man in their specific markets, and if they cross over, cool.
