No doubtAstros got rid of neris & pressley when they were done. Stupid ass cubs signed/acquired both & they suck/sucked. Y’all clearly have better scouts & development than majority of mlb(only rays or dodgers close)and know when to pull the plug when dudes are done

The players need to step up and force the courts to threaten the anti trust exemption over this stuff. Michael Kay and Paul O’Neill mentioned when the Yankees and pirates played this year that the last time they signed a free agent to a contract longer than 1 year was Ivan Nova in 2016. They aren’t even attempting to compete. Post deadline 2022 I remember seeing that the A’s had 0 players under contract for 2023 and eventually went into opening day 2023 with a lower payroll than they had in 1991. The marlins regularly draw less than 10,000 fans per game in a region that should be nuts about baseball. The white Sox have become entirely irrelevant in a major city like Chicago purely off the greed and apathy of a guy who has to be 90 by this point.
Kind of did the same with Keuchel letting him get paid by the ChiSox and Springer who’s been mid af in Toronto. Correa has been good, but we clearly had an equal replacement in Peña who was having an mvp season until one of your pitchers cracked his rib
