Yankees overvaluing their prospects as usual. :mjlol: .
I can't blame the Yankees for making underwhelming trades because they don't have the kind of team where a big move is worth the risk.

So much of the offense centers around Aaron Judge.
Any offensive player you trade for won't be that much of an upgrade to the point it dramatically improves your chances of success in October.

THE move might have been to get Eugenio Suarez. When that came off the table and they got Ryan McMahon, that was the end of their trade deadline.
Every other move was expected to be minor bullpen help.

You could argue that Cashman should have risked more for a Jhoan Duran or someone like that, but with Judge hurt, Schmidt going down, the uncertainty with Luis Gil...the rotation is hanging by a thread. Risking a top prospect for Duran wouldn't be wise.

I do think if Cashman had balls he probably should have gone after Suarez.
But mostly Cashman's failures (to me) center around his HORRENDOUS draft record and his complete and utter incompetence on the Free Agent market.

Across town, however...the Mets DID make some ballsy moves to contend with the Phillies and possibly Dodgers/Padres this Fall. The Mets aren't a perfect team but I have to say I would be optimistic about them (even if Lindor and Alonso are in a bit of slump lately)

My Pops Forever RIP
which was kinda my point… wack mightve been the wrong word

underwhelming is probably what i was looking for

all in all

none of these trades is going to impact any franchise… especially not this postseason

the madres think getting hearns is taking them deep in the playoffs is crazy… they had there chance the past 3 years
And it aint happening

Carlos correa going back to the trashtros… shyt might been cool years ago but buddy is beyond washed

ehhh

Still… as i see it… the dodgers are the team to beat…
they havent been at 100% all year…
and are still with a top 3 record
see that's where you're wrong.

Those bullpen arms are gonna come in handy

Correa is WASHED... til October. Then he flips the switch MadBum style.

Red Sox traded a top 100 prospect for Dustin May. Boston with another one :blessed:

A team with a young core and a future. Meanwhile, the Yankees have a playoff choke artist, a washed Stanton, and probably the worst fielder I’ve ever seen in Volpe. Bum ass franchise has done pretty much nothing in a quarter century.:mjlol:.
