Dodgers mans is Othanis tilting due to him focusing too much on pitching and will the dodgers shutdown his pitching approaching the playoffs? :jbhmm:

They aren't shutting him down. He's going to have to get hurt or shut himself down. He wants to pitch. He was cramping up in the 1st inning and still pitched till he thru like 6 balls in a row with 3 wild pitches mixed in.

Pitching has definitely fukked with him. He never did it while pushing for a championship. And should probably give it up becuz his bat is more important than him pitching

He's still scheduled to start Wednesday. Idiocy

Wrote that in April

:picard:
Think about all those horrible contracts that got handed out the past 3-4 years to shortstops because of their "premium position value."

Trea Turner (11/$300 million through 2033)
Xander Bogaerts (11/$280 million through 2033)
Trevor Story (6/$140 million through 2028)
Javy Baez (6/$140 million through 2028)
Carlos Correa (6/$200 million through 2032 after that initial lump sum from Minnesota)
Dansby Swanson (7/$177 million through 2029)
Willy Adames (7/$182 million through 2031)
Fernando Tatis Jr. (14/$340 million through 2034)
Corey Seagar (10/$325 million through 2031)
Francisco Lindor (10/$341 million through 2031)
Bobby Witt Jr. (11/$289 million through 2037)

Most of those guys just haven't been that good. Seagar's had one great season (and led Texas to a World Series); Lindor's had one great season: Tatis hasn't produced the same since his PED suspension; 2024 is an impossible standard for Witt.

as long as he is able to get on his base he’ll be fine… he dont need to go yard every bat

and if he pitching good/great thruout the rest of the year he’ll be fine come october

but as far as him being “unproductive” offensively… its cap

he top 1/2/5 in most offensive stats like walks/hrs/runs/obp etc

the dodgers had a very rough month of july so theyre being put on blast rn… and the first person theyre looking at is the one with the biggest contract

Never wanted Swanson but he’s been the best ss in war since that turner,Correa, bogearts class :hubie:

He absolutely sucks with risp & can’t hit breaking balls but been kind of solid overall & is elite defensively I think his contract ain’t that bad

not looking like it's going to be his day.

Needed a solid day from him
and Cruz they are currently 0-7
He’s like Javier Baez ,swings at everything ,has no plate discipline but can hit the out the zone pitches out the park.2nd highest out the zone swing rate in mlb

you’re gonna miss more than make contact doing that. And draw less walks

If pca had better plate discipline He’d legit be top 5 player in mlb. Baez never did improve that we’ll see if pca can. That’s my dog but dude seriously needs to work on it cuz his presence alone on base is a problem so get on base more by any means
