Defense and working the plate and leading the pitching staff while being an elite slugger and clutch hitter just doesn't matter, when we're talking about a Yankee now lmao

Batting average shouldn't be devalued. It still very much matters, because still signifies a player's ability to get consistent hits. That's very important when in situations where you need to advance runners and drive in runs.

In fact it's a very big reason why Judge was getting walked alot, meanwhile pitchers still pitch right at Raleigh.
