If we're being really real about shyt Age of Ultron was almost identical to a Transformers movie. It hit all of the same beats. There was nothing more of substance or style. The only thing that was better is that thankfully Downey Jr. and Evans and Ruffalo are a better human cast than the awful humans in Transformers. I don't think Joss is any more talented than Michael Bay, I would actually argue that Bay is a better director.

Now the Russos I cannot say that about.. I thought they did an awesome job with Winter Soldier and I look forward to their next projects.

Transformers is garbage because they spend TOO much time with the humans and not enough time on the motivations on the robots and the war. the cartoon was amazing for it's time...

If they had a writer worth his shyt and if mike bay focused on optimus and the autobots interactions mixed with the humans it might be worth it. but he spends too much time on human bullshyt. that's what frustrates me the most.

I'm not disagreeing with you there but look at all the beats the two movies are trying to hit. Look at the set pieces. Look at the corny humor. Whedon (or Disney pulling the strings) tried to make a Transformers style action flick and the action sequences don't match up to Transformers because Bay is a superior action set piece director than Whedon is.

They should have just employed Bay.
