Will is too busy to have been a recurring character like Lou was on Bel Air. They were barely able to get him for what he did in the finale, they actually wrote two endings just in case they couldn’t.

I agree getting Alfonso involved somehow would have been nice, but I get the sense from recent comments of his that he really would rather put Carlton behind him and doesn’t want to be forever associated with the character. He’s spoken at length on how doing such a good job as Carlton pigeonholed him not just as an actor but as a human being. He was nothing like Carlton in real life and people expect that persona from him wherever he goes.

I thought about that but Lou was only in what...3-4 episodes? And it aint like Marlon aint busy. That nikka doesnt sit down. And Will made time during his absolute apex to appear in a two part episode on "All of Us". And it aint even have to be Lou. The thought of having a Fresh Prince re-imagining without Will making an appearance is to me.

I get that about Alfonso. But he appeared on the reunion and he and Will say they are still good friends. He could've been a completely different character just like all of the other originals. He coulda been the dude interrogating Phil or the person about to marry Carlton and Amira. nikka always gonna be Carlton no matter what. And unlike so many others he has had plenty of motion after the show

Difference between Bel Air and All of Us is that he was the creator of All of Us, so he had more of a vested interest in that show’s success. There’s more money in being the creator of a show versus just getting an executive producer credit (unless you’re the showrunner)

Plus he got to makeout with prime Lisa Raye. Those little extras always help…

Just finished the season. I liked this show despite the flaws. If they could've kept some of the storylines a little more grounded it would've been better. The crime syndicate/money laundering and Ashley going from lesbian to dating a non binary all could've been dropped. Hilary's storylines did nothing for me.

I'm happy they didn't let things drag out. 4 seasons is enough.

The main cast made the show work. Will and Carlton were great as was Phil and Viv. When the focus was on them the show was at it's strongest. I didn't think they needed to get all the OG cast on this one. We didn't need Will Smith playing Lou. Marlon did a fine job and why y'all were expecting Will as a recurring character is beyond me. That was never happening.

Main thing I appreciated was how black the show was. With it coming to a close we need something new to fill void.

Oh, Amira and Jackie were baddies. People were saying Lisa was too basic to be the main love interest but she was looking fine as hell season 4
