For the first time, the new season doesn’t open with a black-and-white flash-forward to Gene and his life in Omaha, Nebraska. It raises a number of questions, especially after the taxi driver in the Season 5 premiere revealed that he knew about Gene’s past.

Realistically, I can't imagine Jesse remaining in hiding for a long period of time without someone noticing him, even in Alaska.

Had he left the first time, he wouldn't be nearly as "hot" as he was/is after his face was plastered all over the news and DEA agents getting killed.

He'd have to live like Walt did in New Hamphire. He definitely would not be able to get a job at Cinnabon in Anchorage, AK.....let alone any job at all.
