Harrison has avenged every loss on his record cept Haye (never will happen) and Price (still has a chance if Thompson can KO him 2 rounds)

He's no chump when he's in shape, and in that prizefighter tourny, he was in shape. Wilder is wild as all hell, he's all size and physical talent with no skill and hasn't fought a soul in 27 fights

It won't be an upset to anyone except American fight fans...

Beat me too it.

Hes still a fraud, but if in shape and sticks to the gameplan he has a very good chance. Skill wise hes easily top 10.

Breh's I'm trying to get into following boxing, never paid attention to anything but the big prize fights. Any advice on who's up and coming or fighters I can watch out for? I keep hearing about this canelo kid, he legit? Also, any other good boxing forums?

I dont want to call out any names because this boxing game is a big show and a lot of smoke and mirrors. I recommend watching a lot of fights on ESPN because there are good fights on there but its also informative as far as news. Watching the programs like Friday Night Fights, Shobox, and HBO After Dark gets you more accustomed to watching the actual fights and not get sucked in by all the hype. Lots of other networks show boxing though...I grew up on watching fights on network tv. (loved when NBC came back briefly in the early 2000's) I am not sure about the boxing forums, this is the best I have found after being a longtime poster in boxing newsgroups.

Fraudley is not a fighter to be taken lightly. He's too skilled. While he did win the tourney, it was over a bunch of C-level fighters like himself so one shouldnt get carried away. :ehh:

I would never say a fighter doesnt have heart....but there is that "something" that most guys have that allows them to maximize their abilities in the ring. It could be confidence, arrogance, fear, willpower, dedication, etc... Internally, it seems that he was missing something. I think the best way to describe it is...he lacks true focus. He and Dominick Guinn were two of the most skilled but underachieving heavyweights that always come to mind to me.

I do not expect Wilder to lose, in fact, I expect him to blitz Fraudley and look to take his heart quickly. If Fraudley is completely locked in, he can take Wilder. With his background and experience, there are many things he could exploit.

HBO to bring back “Legendary Nights”

HBO Sports will produce an all-new installment of the acclaimed Legendary Nights boxing documentary series, celebrating the most memorable fights in the network’s 40 years of presenting the sweet science. The one hour show will feature a retrospective on the three-fight slugfest between Arturo Gatti and Micky Ward.

“With June 2013 marking the tenth anniversary of the third fight of the landmark Gatti vs. Ward trilogy, we believe now is the ideal moment to revisit this classic rivalry,” says Ken Hershman, president of HBO Sports. “This retrospective will offer new perspectives and deliver revealing insights on the two ring warriors who produced this all-time great moment in boxing history. We plan to present the special on a night with a major fight on HBO, ensuring a memorable night of boxing programming.”

HBO to bring back “Legendary Nights”

I kinda got overexcited when I saw this. Although the Gatti vs Ward installment will be great :blessed:, I thought and still hope they do some additional installments. Also wish they would reproduce the originals in HD. I have all of them and they are some of HBO's best work to me. The Pac vs Marquez quadrilogy, Rafa vs Vasquez, DLH vs FMJ, Hopkins-Trinidad, Jones-Tarver, I could go on and on...they have endless fights and rivalries they could base installments on.

NICE!... dledthe whole season they had on torrents..loved it

Pascal hires Roy Jones

By Matt Casavant
Photo Herby Whyne

Jean Pascal (27-2-1,16KOs) is making sure he is surrounded by the best team money can buy heading into his showdown versus Lucian Bute (31-1, 24KOs). Already having previously hired strength & conditioning Coach Angel Heredia, Pascal made a surprising hire once again when it was announced at the opening press conference Tuesday afternoon that former P4P king Roy Jones Jr. would be going to training camp with the rest of Pascal’s team.

Jean Pascal’s head trainer Marc Ramsay stated that Roy had been added to the squad mostly due to his knowledge and expertise of the southpaw stance which Bute utilises. Indeed, having faced numerous left-handed fighters throughout the course of his hall of fame career Jones should be well versed in the southpaw tongue as he has faced a left-handed opponent 13 times in 64 career bouts posting a record of 9-4 in those contests. “He’s a specialist of the southpaw style, been there done for so many years. That’s a great asset for me,” claimed Pascal. continue reading

The former light heavyweight champion Pascal has faced southpaw opponents in the past including his signature win over Chad Dawson, therefore the addition of his boxing idol Jones won’t only be a technical addition but a motivational one as well. Jones stated as such before elaborating on his role, “I’m here just to help him get inspired to do better and my main thing is to help him carry himself better over a 12 round period.”

Training camp for Pascal is expected to take place in a private gym somewhere in Nevada, Jones will be in camp with the rest of the team for most of its duration. Will Jones consider lacing up the gloves with Pascal during camp? “I don’t know, maybe if that’s what it takes.” That possibility was shot down not long after by Ramsay who when asked the same question responded swiftly “No, absolutely not. That’s not an option.”

Pascal had met Jones a few years ago during his clashes against Hopkins and both men had expressed their desire for wanting to work together in some capacity; however those plans were tabled until now. Jones involvement will not be restricted to training camp as he is also expected to be in the corner of Pascal on May25th. Not to be outdone, Bute’s trainer Stephan Larouche when asked how he would counter the hiring of Jones by Pascal, motioned towards his cell phone and quipped “I’m calling Joe Calzaghe (who beat Jones back in 2008) the expert versus right-handers.”

Winning Prizefighter isn't anything to sing about, as an Olympic gold medalist it's an embarrassment that he's even in it.

In good shape he can go no doubt but like I said on the big stage when the focus is on, he freezes something awful. And I'm not just talking mentally you can physically see the fear in him. Afraid to let his hands go, afraid to get hit and the anxiety is what usually then leads to him losing.

In that past Prizefighter there was no pressure, he had been slumped by Price in his last fight nobody expected shyt from him and he produced. Against Wilder there is a chance that the fact that this may be a step towards another moment in the spotlight may work against him.

More talent and ability than Wilder and hopefully that carries him past him.

Audley psyches himself up so much before fights, like any other fighter does. those fighters actually believe they can win until they realize they cant. Audley is probably very confident until the bell rings....maybe the ringwalk....and possibly his arrival to the arena. Once it sets in that he is actually has to get in the ring...all focus goes out the window. I can see him laying down against this technically inferior fighter.

ROBERT GUERRERO: "WHEN YOU BELIEVE, AMAZING THINGS HAPPEN...I'M GOING TO BEAT HIM" || FIGHTHYPE

It's funny how all of a sudden this nikka RG is talking about how god chose him to win this fight against Floyd.

I bet he wasn't worried about god choosen sides to beat Floyd when he was an up and coming fighter trying to make a name for himself right?

He wasn't worried about Floyd Mayweather back then and all of his previous opponents were not chosen by god either correct?

His whole argument is flawed and cynical

It's all HBO fault too, back in the day we and my freinds used to all click up and watch when any match was on, by them refusing matches and showing fights once a month at best, they took a huge part in the sports fading populairty, shyttt a good fight used to come dame near every other week,. And now HBO want to sit back and act like they are trying to do right by the sport:snoop:

So Bam Bam is workin wit Heredia

Pacquiao might have 2nd thoughts of a Rios fight now

fukk around N end up :deadmanny: again :shaq:

Truthfully I dont think Manny beats Rios anyway, we see how a shot Margarito gave him all hell, and post knockout Manny is not built for that type of war anymore, Rios has legit power if Manny doesnt ko him early, which isn't gonna happen vs the iron chinned warrior, he gets broken down and finished around rounds 8-10

somebody pull my coat on this...and forgive me if this sounds really dumb...because I took most of last year off as far as watching fights because I was so disgusted with politics...

...but why does the winner of Peterson-Matthysse have to face off against the winner of Garcia-Judah THEN face Khan? (should he get past Diaz) sounds like Khan gets to do the least amount of work and still can lay claim to being the best 140lber. also, what if Diaz upsets the applecart? I can see if Khan were undefeated or undisputed...but the two guys that beat him have to fight 3 fights and he essentially only has to fight one because the Diaz fight has to be considered more of a tune up and not part of the tourney.

as I said, thats just what I see, but I am probably missing something here...
