Yeah, Errol Spence said it wasnt true.

But I'm sure it's a possibility that he got slipped a little hush money.

It happend at the Mayweather Gym so Broner was probably showing out and flexing and got caught clean.

I can see you getting knocked down in sparring, but everyone is saying it was a knock out "No Mas" type shyt.

Just like when it happend to Chad Dawson, I'm sure the full story will come out soon.

Damn, if its true thats as big a wake up call as he will get. He needs to tighten up his defence a tad, far too easy to hit for a supposed Mayweather clone

Ortiz gave berto a concussion in the first round he was lucky to make it 12 that night, if anything berto had the lucky KD's in that fight. While I wouldn't consistently praise Victor Ortiz, he thoroughly outclassed berto that night, probably his best performance as a pro, while turning berto into damaged goods

That wouldnt be called luck...that would be called a miracle. Do you know what happens when you get a REAL concussion? You would be lucky if you could even stand up within 10 minutes, much less 10 seconds....possibly followed by vomiting profusely. :stopitslime: it was Berto's fault that Ortiz gave him this "concussion" as you say. must not have been a serious one for him to go 11 more rounds and give Ortiz hell. :udontknow: lucky KD?

I wonder why you guys cant be totally subjective. So Berto was treated at the hospital for a possible concussion (was it confirmed) and a BROKEN HAND. yet you say he was outclassed. :roger: Donaire was outclassed by Rigo. Berto was not outclassed by Ortiz. The fight was close and competitive. There were no lucky KD's on either side but they couldve been prevented.

In fact, who's to say if Ortiz wouldnt have been up on the cards when Berto decked him he wouldnt have packed it in? He was put down from a good shot. Berto wasnt anymore damaged goods after Ortiz than he was before, he was just fighting better opposition. Zaveck is a pretty strong WW and Guerrero is definitely better than Ortiz for Christ's sake. My point is, the Ortiz's KDs were more of a result of what Berto did wrong than some masterful work by Ortiz. If they fight again, I'll be here and we can wager....I'll gladly take Berto to win. He just fought a bad fight stategic wise.

You can't really argue with that point though. there were instances in that Donaire fight where Rigondeaux wasn't being defensive but instead was just on his bike for the entire round. He also is not nearly aggressive/busy enough in his fights to become a fan favorite fighter that the public is going to want to see and he has no personality to speak of to compensate for his less than thrilling fighting style.
It's a dikk move for Arum to be biting his fighter's back out though. His job isn't to point out how non-fan friendly Rigondeaux is as a fighter but instead he is supposed to be promoting him as a rising star that everyone should want to watch.

You dont know shyt about boxing breh, you are gonna try to slug with a banger that looked 15 to 20 pounds heavier that night, why fight his fight when he dominated every single round, even the the round where Donaire got that dirty ass knockdown

You want to see to fighters swing at eachother like cavemen go watch a old Chuck Liddell ufc match, what we saw saturday was the sweet science of boxing, some shyt that cant be taught, pure talent. This shyt is exactly what's wrong with boxing Fighters is now getting slighted because the other guy couldn't hit him, is people gonna act like Rigo didnt throw and land more, not to mention almost stopping the p4p fighter and had Donaire on his bicycle holding his eye running around the ring like a fakkit in the final round

Despicable ass pactards like yourself and blind Arum dikkriders is ruining the sport, and the horrible part is Arum has the boxing media eating out of his palm, spewing his agenda, making more excuses for that bum ass hype job Donaire:pacspit::pacspit::pacspit:

So glad the rug has been pulled from under Arum and Donaire the end is near for Arum, all 3 of his cash cows took L's.:blessed:

I disagree with people who say Rigo is not an exciting fighter or wont have watchable fights in the future. Styles make fights. Donaire was the best fighter he couldve faced and one mistake that he wouldve been in trouble. He fought exactly the way he was supposed to fight against a fighter like Donaire.

He did take a couple of rounds off though but there is no such thing as running when you are landing punches :pachaha:

I dont believe he will fight EVERY fight like that though. Reason being is because he does have power unlike a lot of boxers on his technical level. Not sure what Arum's motivation was but I dont think Rigo will be in all bad fights. Donaire wanted him to do a dummy move but the joke was on Nonito.

I don't see how a person can be called 'on his bike' after clearly dominating the first half of the fight. It was up to Nonito to press the action and all he tried to do was look for an opening for that left hand. However, he got cautious in the first round when he felt Rigo's power and decided that rushing in like a madman was probably not the best solution for the fight. That strikes me as the entire gameplan for the Nonito camp. Overwhelm Rigo and look for the knockout. However, as Mike Tyson put it, everybody has a plan until they hit. So, they went from :childplease::smugbiden::myman: to :krs::whoa::damn: in the first round.

finally official

Maidana vs Lopez: Showtime triple-header official for June 8 - Bad Left Hook

Showtime's June 8 triple-header is now 100% official, as Marcos Maidana will meet Josesito Lopez in a welterweight main event at Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., a main event that should provide plenty of action. Also on the card, Alfredo Angulo will face Erislandy Lara in a matchup of junior middleweight contenders, and Sakio Bika faces Marco Antonio Periban for the vacant WBC super middleweight title.

 to my nikka bika finally getting his hands on a title even though unfairly stripped

i expect nothing but a FOTY candidate from lopez-maidana

angulo-lara will either be a surprisingly good scrap or a stinky fight that's a struggle to watch
