If he gonna do that, it's wrong but until then I don't see the moral problem, it isn't protected by copyright laws and shyt just because they didn't have the idea first to do a show there, this isn't a creative competition.

Financially it might not work for them, they will learn on their own then, I get why you're sceptic that it would work just don't get the anger about it like since when do you guys care about how tickets sell for a TR show? :manny:
Oh for crying out loud, not every topic requires a fukking devil advocates position to take, even Herring said the shyt was stupid trying to copy the Tank formula and that fighting in ATL made no sense.

He’s like 90 years old, don’t have the energy anymore
Yeah he lost a step, still good at identifying and signing talent and bulding a fighter to a champion (at least his matchmakers are) but he's a PR catastrophe, treats his fighters worse than Haymon and Hearn. GBP is similar in this.

i think it just comes down to

Herring vs Stevenson lets be honest does not scream excitement on paper if you're not a casual. If you put this in front of an audience thats majority black and not their hometown areas and it doesn't get over from an action standpoint...its going to look bad on them and the promoter..and then the promoter will blame the fighters....Boxing 101 lol

i have no personal stake in this anyways..i can care less if they sell or not but you'd just hate to see them shooting themselves in the foot over and over not learning from mistakes

Should be in Ohio, Cincy in particular since Herring is out there and has built up a rapport with the local amateur boxing scene. Either that or Newark, crowd was pretty lit for Shakur when he fought there.

This is some fukk shyt, StubHub always sells these tickets on extra price, is there a way to prevent them doing this?
you gotta get in on the early bird specials before they open to the public...there will be tickets that will be available for resale....you just got to wait a week or 2 lol

The demand is so high so I'm not sure, I don't think it's illegal to resell tickets. Cause people will buy them even at crazy prices when AJ is involved. I know quite a lot of fans that managed to get tickets, but then again quite a number that missed out after waiting for a long time. Some people literally were trying all day since they went on sale and couldn't get them.

I love it when shytbags say boxing is a "dying sport"

Been dying for 20+ years now

Yeah, with the money involved can't be dying, fighters like AJ and Canelo are pulling in big crowds and could do big PPV's too. This AJ vs Usyk fight could potentially get over a million buys.

It doesn't hurt the promoter that they resell tickets but doesn't help them either, they get the same amoung of money, that extra money from reselling goes to Stubhub doesn't it?
If that so I guess they have a side deal or something otherwise it'd be still rather bad for the organizers because the bad PR.

In my country reselling tickets is usually forbidden if I know it right. It's the case with concert tickets at least. There are multiple places where you can buy tickets but not for an extra charge just the normal and it goes to the organizers because the site has a deal with the organizers. My country does a lot of shyt wrong though but this might be good.

Actually it feels boxing became some "hip" thing in the last few years, see these celebrity boxing mathces, how Triller bit at it too and multiple new investors. Feels the same with MMA though so boxing has competition like never before the 2010s but still in a good shape interest wise imo. Not very much in a good shape politically though but boxing was always frustrating like that. We still have plenty of great fights a year with all the fukkery, imagine if it would be an actually well governed sport where the best fighting the best would be a given, not just a possiblity. If promoters and sanctioning bodies would somehow forced to work properly the sport could be in an even better place.

I don't have a problem with them having the fight in Atlanta, it's just knowing Arum's track record it's more along the lines of 'These ******s will gake whatever bullshyt I throw at them and they're gonna like it or else fukk em!!!' And then when nobody buys the bullshyt he will blame everyonr except the person in the mirror and use it as an excuse to not push his black fighters anymore.

He doesn't really want to do the work and invest in any U.S. fighters. Why do you think he tried to push Lomachenko so hard. Lomachenko had a fan base in Europe so he figured he would break out in America because he has the complexion for it and Loma never blew up for numerous reasons I won't get into right now because I could make a whole thread on that. Meanwhile he tells Crawford that he loses tons of money on him, when he should have used all that money he used to push Loma on building up Crawford.

It's just a lot of smoke and mirrors and bullshyt when it comes to Bob Arum, and strong arm tactics that he doesn't realize he don't have the clout or pull to get away with anymore.

You don't live in America do I don't fault you for not understanding the US market and politics, but trust me this fight is gonna flop and Arum will blame everyone else besides himself. @aceboon aint lying Jamel Herring himself said it was stupid as hell to do this fight in Atlanta; that oughta tell you everything right there when a fighter is bashing the location of his own fight.
