I do remember Espinoza explaining that Boots was a guy he wanted to keep on Showtime, but again, we've seen big names, like Joshua and Canelo, jump to other networks on a whim. Not to mention, Al also basically forcing showtime to take a backseat for Fox recently. Loyalty to Showtime seems to be flimsy.
I don't think it's too far fetched to think that Boots could be brought onto DAZN so long as Haymon isn't his manager. I'm sure that Haymon and Espinoza are working in tandem to keep him on their side of the street too, though.

Boxing is dirty but for the time being Dunkin and Espinoza are aligned. Dunkin was the black sheep in boxing, Espinoza brought in Boots, Brandun Lee, and Brian Norman(all Dunkin fighters) on Shobox cards and then that led to Boots getting his own deal, and I think Lee secretly has one about to start as well based on that interview Saturday.

That type of headgear plus 16oz gloves that’s a freak accident or the eye was fukked over time
Not ruling out the fukked over time theory but I have had both my mouth and nose busted open with one of these facesaver guards on before which are supposed to give even more protection that those open faced ones
Also it might not even have been a punch that did the damage. A lot of people don't tie up their gloves properly in sparring and majority of black eyes I've had have been through open wrist parts of gloves scraping my face
