yep...that tells me that if Broner wins....he will be looking for a fight for the 140lb title if he can get one and Thurman will be elevated to WBA regular champ, should he win the interim title.

thats how Haymon works. seen it too many times. bet that Broner will be going for his 4th title in as many weight classes should he beat Paulie.

Looking ahead, if Broner gets that strap, I think he will be looking at Garcia next as his main target and if he cant get that, it would be the winner of the Peterson fight or Alexander he would go for next.

Haymon and GBP trying to corner the 140-147 lb market with titles...between those two weights they can make profitable fights for the next two years.

Broner won't be fighting Peterson that's his "big bro":rudy:

Garcia got one more fight at 140 vs Matthysse/Peterson then they wanna move up....So Broner will swoop in N pick up one of them vacated titles at 140 prolly against Zab :steviej:

yeah, either way. you know a lil more about the personal situations than I do...but I think its safe to say we both agree, Broner will be looking for a belt at 140 next rather than an immediate defense at WW. Thurman is set to be the WBA champ should he and Broner both win.

actually Danny is Super champ and eventually I see that being vacated anyway because of his desire to move up. that Russian guy is the regular champ, wouldnt be surprised to see Broner bring him to the U.S. to try and lift that strap. the Russian will get paid well to do it.

According to a BoxingScene.com report from Miguel Rivera over the weekend, there appears to be a weight issue that must be worked out before a super fight between Floyd Mayweather and Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez can come to fruition.

The WBC and WBA champion at the junior middleweight limit of 154 pounds, Alvarez is coming off of a hard-fought unanimous decision over Austin Trout on April 20th in San Antonio, Texas.

Mayweather (44-0, 26 KO’s) is also coming off of a decision victory of his own, having outclassed Robert Guerrero on May 4th to defend his WBC welterweight title inside of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Lol here we go again

From sr own words floyd is a 140lb fighter and to think that fighters like margarito or paul williams wouldve ever really been considered at any point

Smh at throwing out sergio as well but of course according sr his son would beat canelos ass but but but but we need him to come down to a weight he hasnt fought in 3 yrs and is not a champ at 147 but of course flyod kills canelo

Basically this fight will never happen cause canelo cant fo down to 147 and evidently floyd can only fight some fighters at 154 and jus for future reference if they were to agree to a 150 catchweight u already know floyd is gonna come down with the 70/30split and floyd geta all the ppv revenue

Classic cant wait for vs kahn or alexander only so I can watch floyds greatness aganst "great" opponent lol
