Said last night I saw through Danny's facade he may not be scared, but he knows for damn sure he's gonna have a dude coming for his head in this fight

even if Danny is scared....(which he did look a bit concerned) I would rather see that Danny than an over-confident one. A scared Garcia could be just what's needed to beat Matthysse, because he wont make careless mistakes.

He had an excellent gameplan against Zab. I am sure he will watch plenty of tape and have a good plan for LM. You dont acquire all those belts to come in and give them away. I expect a war. Dont sleep on Garcia.

Schaeffer says they wanna give Sugar Shane a title fight :comeon:

I picked Shane to win because he has enough to beat Cano. Cano didnt impress me against a badly faded and fat Morales and the light punching Mallinagi.

there is a limit for Shane though...and that limit is a fighter "just above" Cano. which I dont know anyone in his range he is not at that level with a title.

You are right though....should Broner win as expected, I KNOW GBP would love to feed Shane to him.

Matthysse a good little fighter but hasn't put in the work that Garcia has, Peterson aint beat nobody but khan in a fight he got his ears boxed off and dropped twice. LM has a ways to go quite frankly I think he needs a soft touch higher level fighters like Khan or Madiana before he goes in the ring with Garcia and start to believe his own hype being wild as fukk and eat that crispy hook

People should be begging for a Garcia and Mathhysse vs Mayweather rather than Canelo, they putting in the work, and is 5x the fighter that Canelo is.........

I dnt like Devon neither but there was no reason to hate after Saturday he getting better, plus his resume cant be denied, his WW resume is better than Pacquiao's, khan's, even Garcia as of now as much as saying that makes me cringe, he fought his way into the Mayweather discussion. He beat solid names with his boring style, now he's trying to change t up and got more offensive and confident:manny:

Big tough, strong confident WW, contrary to and a far cry from the it burns Devon

I agree with Garcia-LM winner being a more deserving challenger to Mayweather. Simply though...the Canelo hype train is in full steam and only gaining momentum.

Devon is a good fighter. IMO he was young and immature when he fought Bradley. It was a man fighting a boy (mentally). Devon has great skills, but...he still is trying to break out of that amateurish style. I hope he does. He's talented. When he stepped up in opposition though, that's where you can see he was a bit rushed and the bread came out of the oven too early as BHop would say. Still, he is a threat, but he needs to not worry about Mayweather. He needs to get that hand better and stay busy.

I always stated here that if chinny Peterson could go the 1st couple of rounds without touching the canvas it would be easy work,if not game over, and Peterson who's boxing ability I was never impressed with abandoned his strategy and went to the head in chest infighting style and paid, lets not overrate he victory Peterson is a man that got put on his ass by pillow fisted Khan twice, and his head boxed offed, and took every type of fukkery to beat the lowly Khan by the skin of his teeth, he never was shyt IMO. I Just thought Pederson would have been on the gear like he was vs **** so it could be a competitive match, he clearly wasn't allowed to juice how does one go from shredded like a horse to barely having a 6 pack in like 2 months............

LM did what he suppose to do, a superb counter punch which Garcia is gives him problems something that Peterson never was he was a mauling infighter, people like to pretend all black fighters are slick and could box LM is still molasses slow and wide as fukk. Good fighter but lets not overrate him yet he does hold a loss to shot Judah, shyt Baldomir beat the shyt out of a prime Judah, so I'm not 100% sold on LM, he got his 1st decent victory over his first champion, he have to earn his lineage like Garcia has before I start to believe, and unfortunately for him when the smoke clears Peterson is just a B level fighter and always has been, he got smoked every time one of the elite fighters stepped up, who the fukk did Peterson beat besides Khan and we know how that went

SN:Alexander is getting better and better, from what I saw Saturday he'd mop the floor with the Matthysse and Bradley's of the world these days, he fighting and taking chances like a champ, you could tell he putting in that work in the gym:wow:

I gave Peterson the benefit of the doubt as far as the roids but I guess I was wrong on that. Take nothing away from LM, but Peterson's body looked weak to me. Peterson has boxing skills but he dont use them. He has never been a smart fighter.

As far as Zab being shot, I disagree. Zab has a lot left although clearly not as much as the WW or previous JWW version. With that being said, and Zab still being the king of title shots....maybe Peterson defends his IBF title against Zab next. I wouldnt say Baldomir beat the shyt out of Zab. It was a SD iirc. Zab was never a WW. Baldomir (a huge WW) and Clottey way too strong for Zab's style, even still, he showed heart and did well. He was only fighting at WW because he was with DKP and so was Spinks.

When talking slick fighters, I would love to see LM against Terrence Crawford...a guy I think has a lot of potential...but that fight would never happen.

To me, right now, Garcia is B+ and Matthysee is a B fighter. Until proven otherwise.

:stopitslime:..stop it skip...matthysse is the real deal and garcia will finally see that come september..and :laff: at devon getting better and better...dude has regressed since he ko'ed urango...and :laff: at him beating bradley..mr "ah it burns" :pachaha:...and lets not even talking about the gift he got with lucas...he was only aggressive saturday because purdy offered up nothing more than being a punching bag and nikkas would have boo'd him out of the ring if he fought his usual tentative style

That fight was a close fight, mainly because LM wasnt doing much in the beginning. He let Devon take the early rounds. LM wasnt aggressive enough at the end, especially when he had Devon hurt. Thats why I dont buy the hype. If this guy cant get you out of there, he is not likely to win a decision. To me, he is more David Tua, Randall Bailey, than Tito Trinidad...a guy who can actually box. I am just leery of guys who never win decisions.

In a 12 round fight, the object is to win the most rounds. A fighter can win 7 close rounds and clearly lose the other 5 and still win. Its the number of rounds that count, not how big or small of a margin you win them by unless they are knockdowns.

The rounds Lucas won, he won bigger. The rounds Alexander won, were close. I scored the fight a draw...but if that fight wouldve been scored using as many even rounds as possible.....I still see it as a draw or one point in favor of Matthysse because of the knockdown. I dont see it as a robbery...especially if you score the close rounds for Devon.

so its a knock against him he's only gone the distance 3 times in his career to date?...1-2 and those 2 were close...come on breh that's not a reasonable argument..3 fights that went the distance is not enough fights to think if a fighter has it in him to win decisions

Matthysse has fought like 4 rds in the past year:whoo:

I think that could hurt him the next time he fights somebody who can go the distance especially since he's draining himself to make weight N he had those problems wit Zab/ Devon

Garcia was a replacement N was posed to lose to Khan tho

Khans chin is a joke but he survived Maidana N Peterson...."Ariza fixed him" etc... before Danny shattered it

:russ:

nikkas really gonna act like they wasnt on the Khan could beat Mayweather cause he lost his legs and speed brigade, before Danny came and crushed the buildings
