Khan's lack of chin has some truth and untruth to it. Dude was dropped by Garcia by a shot to neck and he got up when many wouldn't. He got back up and stood upright as he took bombs from Garcia. He was downed 2 more times but he stood up to shots from Garcia that would've dropped many.

I believe a lot of it is mental for him and @LauderdaleBoss is correct about Khan being his best behind the jab and fast combos. I disagree with the roach sentiment because Hunter will teach him to conserve energy and trade on the inside while protecting himself.
If Khan can fight on the inside with his chin down, throw combos and to the body dude will be a legit problem.

Is anyone hyped for Froch vs Kessler 2 :ld: Never watched the first fight

I've seen Froch vs Ward and Dirrell and his offense was stagnated by their boxing ability.
I don't even think Dirrell is that great of a boxer. Is Kessler any better than Dirrell?

not hyped about Froch vs Kessler. not that it wont be a good fight....just no intrigue for me. I think Froch will win, he is craftier. Kessler is sooooooo basic. He is a good fighter but he is basic as hell. No creativity offensively or defensively. Kessler is a solid but basic boxer, he does nothing great. When @LauderdaleBoss said he was textbook, thats a good way to describe him. Like reading a textbook instead of a novel. Dirrell is athletic and has great reflexes, wouldnt say he is a great boxer but rather an unorthodox one. He reminds me a lot of Roy Jones, but he dont have that type of power and accuracy.

Don't know how you picked up that I'm sleeping on Garcia from what I posted, but what you said is exactly what I was thinking. He'll be well prepared for this fight and I expect a great one from these two.

I dont think I meant you...I was speaking in general. I dont remember quoting you even. I am re-watching Judah-LM right now. I am watching a lot of LM and breaking him down. So far, I dont see much about what Garcia has to be concerned with. He caught Peterson squared up with a great shot. I dont see him catching a lot of top guys like that. They are just too defensively responsible.

its happened before. I dont think he will win but I anticipate a decent showing from Paulie especially early.

As long as we win the title.....it's all good in the Band Camp:blessed:

23 years old with 3 titles in 3 different divisions? Not bad:leon:

If Broner beats Paulie I wouldn't mind seeing him stay at 147 and fight Devon Alexander in a unification bout next

dont see that happening. Alexander too dangerous with a bad style matchup right now. Broner will have better options at 140. If anything, I think you would see Thurman in against Alexander before Broner....even that I doubt.

actually, I think he will win that title and then go for a title at 140. not sure about that, but I think it may be in the cards.

Adrien Broner vs Lamont Peterson for the IBF title:myman:

LM slow too. Matthysse open for the left hook. Peterson just did a dummy move. Just rewatched the Judah fight...a couple of things...

LM bad footwork and very plodding. open to left hook and vulnerable to uppercut because he leans in...and off balance at that. pretty much a headhunter and bodypunching non-existent outside of clinching.

On the good side, he has power in both hands and he knows how to close the distance. he has a good chin and he is the type of fighter that it will be hard to take out with one shot. you have to catch him with combinations. he doesnt use his jab much to set up anything. he doesnt appear to have stamina issues.

what I see that Garcia can do is....like Holyfield did Tyson. glue his right hand to his face and counter. Garcia did a great job of countering Zab. dont pull back or get caught squaring up. where Danny will be in trouble is...he cant get gassed in the later rounds like he did against Zab.

The Garcia's can come thru with a game plan for Matthysse

All we heard from Zab was Garcia only had a left hook N that fight Garcia stayed landing the right hand

Don't hook with a hooker N I think Danny can land his before Matthysee...that lil hunch/ duck of the head when he throws the hook can also help him get out the way of Matthysses wide hook

What worrys me is the infighting...Garcia let Zab rough him up while in the Clinch N we saw Matthysse do the same N rough up Peterson N get him off his fight plan quickly

Matthysse a good little fighter but hasn't put in the work that Garcia has, Peterson aint beat nobody but khan in a fight he got his ears boxed off and dropped twice. LM has a ways to go quite frankly I think he needs a soft touch higher level fighters like Khan or Madiana before he goes in the ring with Garcia and start to believe his own hype being wild as fukk and eat that crispy hook

Peterson will win because Matthysse wasted his time sparring with pups, he's not even trying to go after the B CLass fighters in his division, if he thinks he can waltz in and run through a top level 140 pounder like Pederson he's in for a rude awakening.

Matthysse power is overrated as fukk, he beat a small Ajose from pillar to post and still couldnt deliver a real stoppage. Ajose also had no problems touching him up, Peterson is 4x the fighter of Ajose. IF peterson dont get buzzed early he'll break LM down with the body shots on his way to a UD
