Even though Floyd is a being a hypocrite with the catch weight I'm glad he made the fight. I told nikkas this was the fight to make. fukk all this waiting shyt. Boxers aren't active enough as it is so props to GB, Floyd,and Canelo for making this happen. 2 pounds ain't that much to front about. This ain't another Ward/Dawson routine so its all good.
If this fight is as competitive as Canelo/Trout, I can see this shyt being a draw or controversial enough where they do a rematch in 2014. Floyd hasn't white washed anybody above 147 pounds and I doubt Saul with all his flaws will get dominated like that, but hey that's why fights aren't fought on paper.
Canelo has quick hands, ko power, throws combinations, and has pretty solid defense. His footwork and stamina are his biggest weaknesses right now. He's going to really have to do damage in those 35 second bursts he fights in if he wants to actually win rounds. I see Floyd having some rough spots but still outboxing dude enough to win clearly.

canelo has zero chance to win. canelo likes to fight in bursts because he likes to punch so explosively vs fluidly that his muscles get tired and he needs to take whole parts of rounds off to recover. 1. that means he can never outpoint floyd and 2. that means floyd can just steal him with quick little shots when he take those rounds off like that. that pattern is going to repeat over and over

was the challenger N had no belt....the WBO threatened to strip Cotto of his belt if he didn't fight at the catchweight....Cotto bytched about it N said it would weaken him N right after that Cotto moved up to 154

I think the catch weight was just to show both sides made a compromise and both had some leverage. Since there seems not to be a rehydration clause it's almost a moot point since Canelo is gonna weigh 165-175 fight night!

There's no way anybody on this green earth is going to ever get me to believe Manny weight drained Cotto. Making a nikka drop one extra pound from his last fight isn't weigh draining. Cotto had the belt, but he barely took it from Clottey and was the B-side of the promotion. Manny coming off big ass wins and had all the momentum. I also don't remember him shyt talking Hopkins or anybody else at the time for making catch weight fights. Dude simply pulled a boss move in which he was entitled too. Arum just threw in the whole "You can fight Foreman at 154 and get his belt after this fight" in order to pacify Cotto.
Cotto could have stayed at 147 and fought Berto or anybody else, but he went after the belt and the legacy of winning titles in 3 different weight classes. Then he turns around to face Margarito again making him fight at a catch weight of 153 or some petty shyt like that.
The only advantage Pac had in the Cotto fight was the training camp cuz at the time Cotto and his uncle was beefing and he didn't have a real trainer.
Floyd may have a perfect record, but he's not a perfect person. Canelo's stamina is a known issue my dude so I really do not understand how anyone whose watched him take entire rounds off can dismiss it...Floyd is going to approach this fight like he did Guerrero...The focus will be defense and movement...His offense will come in spots early on but in those middle and late rounds he is going to obliterate this kid because Canelo won't be applying effective pressure...ginger will be gassed and easy pickin by round 6...go ahead and quote me on that...
