its all hype. very seldom is there real beef. unless there is some true personal history, its not real. if someone actually punches a person or risks injury then its real. other than that, its a bunch of talk....and they will respect each other after the fight.

First let me say that he hasn't earned the right to be named alongside the top 135 guys just yet, he's talented and is a top 10/15 guy but an eccentric Max Kellerman rub and HBO hype endorsement means little to me. Dan and Max were going back n forth on twitter about it I'll re-watch the fight sometime this week and see where I place him, but for now...

What has Burns done? What has Gamboa done at 135? What did Guerrero do to earn a shot at Floyd? What did Broner do to earn to be mentioned in the top 10 P4P. As fans, I think we have to give the eye test and base our endorsements off that because some fighters have to get down right lucky to get a fight to gain them recognition.

I told people for years that Winky Wright was the best 154lber...it took him years before he got that recognition. To say he didnt earn it before then is wrong...he just never got a fight to make people take notice that he was. Crawford has to get the opportunity to show it...but I doubt he will at 135 because none of those guys will fight him.

Terence Crawford's biggest win is currently over Bredis Prescott, who had gone 6-4 in his last 10 fights before fighting Crawford and is only known for beating Khan. He's never even FACED a #10 fighter in his division and beating an unknown Sanabria is supposed to put him over a fighter who has beaten Top 10 opponents and former Champions in the same division.....come on breh

According to the American-Statesman Staff, junior middleweight contender James Kirkland was arrested on an assault charge and is currently an inmate of the Travis County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. Kirkland was charged with causing bodily injury to a family member.

Kirkland, inactive since early 2012, has been trying to break ties with everyone around him. Last year Kirkland filed a legal suits to break away from promoter Golden Boy Promotions and managers Cameron Dunkin/Michael Miller. Kirkland also broke ties with trainer Ann Wolfe

Not the first time Kirkland has been in trouble. In 2009 he was arrested on a firearm charge and released in September of 2010.

He was scheduled to face Saul Alvarez last September, but withdrew with a shoulder injury. Later he said he was unhappy with the money and willing to move forward if more money was on the table. Golden Boy gave the opportunity to Josesito Lopez.
