:salute: to Floyd for crushing the buildings and giving us the best boxing card in years

They crushed the live gate record, CCTV record and they're talking about giving a rebate offer for the fight :whew:

We get a Chavez fight on the 7th then this monster card on the 14th :ohlawd::blessed:

Zab is one tough muhfukker to last 12rds against a fighter with loaded gloves

:russ:

in the zab fight i remember a right hand from garcia that wobbled him badly and put him on baby giraffe ice skate legs but the punch itself looked extremely weak and that was the first time i thought garcia might be doing something. the punch that did all that damage looked like he just extended his arm out like he was just reaching out to touch something not trying to punch something. i think it was jim grey that brought up how weak that shot looked to him in the post fight interview too so i know i wasnt the only one who thought it didnt look right. i remember back to a comment that fernando vargas made after the trinidad fight where he said something like even tito's jabs were hurting him and that comment stuck with me because tito was caught for using loaded wraps against bernard hopkins later. i blame trinidad for derailing david reid's career who is a fighter i looked up to but his career fell apart after that fight. if it were not for trinidad cheating with loaded wraps reid probably would never have been hurt by trinidad's power and continued to dominate him to become a top tier p4p fighter and get bigger fights and beat a lot of good fighters. its funny how history works that way.

if you look at some of the shots tito hit people with, especially the way they would just collapse, it looks similar to how garcia hits people where he will land a shot, even a weak shot like against zab, and fighters just melt. it doesnt look natural considering garcia's punching technique does not look that strong to me to be creating these kinds of results. he throws soft loopy shots. he hits khan on his damn neck with the fingers area of his glove not even on the striking area and khan just melted like trinidad vs joppy. you cant deny that these kinds of things look strange on garcia. i have never seen a fighter get knocked down with a neck shot in my life.

The Sweet Science
I dont know WTF u talking about Garcia's hooks are almost picture perfect
:lawd: sets the feet, twists the hips and follows through . Real power comes from using your whole body to throw the shot, the loop on his hooks are more of an uncoiling motion as a opposed to a flailing motion

then we have a disagreement on technique. his hooks are all upper body and arm and many of his punches are pure arm punches. i disagree that he uses his legs. many times he looks like he is sitting in a chair when he punches very stiff and slow

When he does land its deadly. He reminds me a semi retarded stuntman.

exactly thank you. its the fact that its so deadly when he lands that makes me raise the question because stiff and slow loopy shots should not be having these kinds of results under normal conditions

i still will bring up the point that i have never seen a fighter get knocked down and hurt by a neck punch like garcia vs khan. extremely irregular result.

This whole post is the definition of being inconsistent:demonic:

Its ok for Shane not to fight Floyd cause he was bigger, but when Mayweather says hes bigger than Freitas and Casamayor its a issue

Then you want to criticize Floyd for not fighting Johnston(who had Floyd lined up when he lost to Lazcano) when he was number one, but slight Floydie for fighting a man that arguably beat Johnston twice and was the NUMBER 1 fukking fighter in Castillo....................:pacspit:

Duke...your history is shaky. Johnston didnt lose to Lazcano until AFTER he had lost his belt to Castillo. WTF would Floyd want to fight the nikka for then unless it was a bytch move? When Stevie defended that belt 9 times and called out Shane and Floyd they didnt want him.

As for Shane being bigger name, I said "thats the way it is". They both ducked each other if thats your definition of a duck. I never said it was ok and never gave Shane a pass for that. I said thats what happened.

Anyway, to close this out..because its other shyt to talk about...

A lot of yall dudes is fans of BOXERS. Me..I am a fan of BOXING. So I try not to show any bias. If Roy was a ducker, so was Floyd. If Floyd wasnt, then neither was Roy. Simple as that.

My point is this...and yall can tell me what yall think...but...
Floyd fought Castillo twice and Corrales once then moved on. After that you had a great round robin of fights consisting of Corrales, Castillo, Casamayor, and Freitas. ALL on Showtime IIRC. We got a lot of great fights out of those. A Corrales-Casa trilogy (never forget when Casa hit him so hard it split his mouthpiece and went through his lip/cheek!) A near Corrales-Castillo trilogy which produce one of the all time classic fights. Casa vs Castillo, Casa vs Freitas, Freitas vs Corrales.

That was a great time for 130-135. Great fights, and the best fighting the best. Just think what it wouldve been like if Floyd wouldve been in that mix? He never wanted it though. And they called Roy reluctant...and went as far as to attempt to "Roycott" his fights. If he had dudes like that he wouldve fought them but everyone was overseas.

I would never knock Floyd for being a businessman...but for anyone to sit here and say he actually wanted to fight Casa or Freitas yet it never happened because it takes two to make a fight?? insisting that Freitas or Casamayor rather face each other is ridiculous.

Just think if Floyd was in that mix. It was like a throwback to the days of SRL, Hearns, Duran, Hagler, Benitez. Obviously Floyd followed the blueprint laid by SRL...because when it came down to it...neither of them wanted it. The difference is....SRL beat better opposition.

if manny takes that drug test the fight happens years ago:beli:
now you moving on to stevie johnson:beli:
don't be one of those ppl fam that goes from boxer to boxer trying to make a argument that floyd ducked them.
floyd didn't duck anyone.
you know your boxing pretty well from what i can see,
you know floyd can't fight everybody

and if oscar was at 130, floyd woulda drained himself to fight him because..HES Oscar De LA HOYA. boxing is a business as well. you gotta factor in that floyd was not really a household name at the time and he was trying to get big fights.

I dont think you are getting my point. If you check my history, I always said Floyd didnt duck. I just say that when nikkas start talkin bout RJJ ducked this person and Manny ducked, and Ward is ducking...but when someone says something about Floyd...oh no....he aint ducking but everyone else is. This is a business first and foremost. (not as well) You have to hold everyone to the same standard. Are you going to sit here and tell me that RJJ was a ducker but that same logic dont apply to Floyd?

As far as draining to fight DLH...yall be believing that weight shyt. if DLH wanted to fight 4 times at 130 Floyd would do it. they only say they cant make weight because they want to move up. Everybody and they momma cant make 135-140 no more because welterweight is where its at.

Again, not saying he ducked anyone because he was afraid of them, its business, but dont shyt on RJJ and then make a god out of Floyd.

i personally don't think roy jones ducked anyone
i pretty much see floyd the same way i seen roy jones 8 years ago.
A one in a life time athlete, all time great, who is penalized for being too good.

Danny has a nasty nasty left hook, but that one against Kahn was a hail mary counter. Regardless, danny would have iced Kahn.
Now Garcia's hook in the rematch against Morales was NASTY
