Trout picks Lara to win against Canelo by outboxing and confusing him:

Well, Im picking Canelo because it part of my job as a member of #CaneloCommission, but also because I think Canelo will be too big and strong for Lara.

Canelo has fought someone like Lara, just much better in Floyd. Lara hasnt fought anyone like Canelo yet.

Im supposed to go to a wedding that night:sadcam: so Im gonna have to watch the fight on youtube:to:

GGG is not in Ward's division. He will only fight at 168 for JCC Jr because of his name. It's no different then fighters who are willing to meet Floyd at a certain weight.

As far as JCC Jr, his weight is all over the place. He's having promotional issues. Until he gets his situation taken care of, he's not an option right now.

Ward needs to focus on realistic options.

@ 175, he has Kovalev & Pascal. Pascal is a big money fight. It's not a PPV fight, but it's a nice paycheck.
This is what I am saying. Ward expecting GGG to fight him is the same as expecting Ward to move up to fight Kovalev. If 168 is your weight then stick to it, but dont expect other dudes to move out of their weight class.
The GGG-JCC fight is not about GGG wanting to move up or leaving Ward out of 168 supremacy...it is a money fight. It would be a PPV fight and easily be GGG's biggest payday and probably better for JCC because he is the bigger name.
Neither of those guys can fight Ward and get as much money.
And what does Ward think is different between GGG and Kovalev? If he wins he will be criticized for beating a Eurobum in both fights...it is just one involves fighting a smaller fighter and one is a bigger fighter. He keeps the smaller fighter in his conversation all the time, but not the bigger fighter.
And there still is plenty of matches Ward can make at 168, but he is sleeping on those. Start calling out the Froch-Groves winner...people would want that fight.

I like how Ward is like well Stevenson left HBO:smugfavre:

But when Stevenson was at HBO N offered a fight in Oakland N a fight in Canada the nikka was:whoa:
What is the deal on Stevenson? I thought because of his criminal history he can't fight in the US, so you have to fight him on Canada. Is that correct?

Apparently not from our conversations in here yesterday:heh:

Ward has already beaten all the Champions at 168....if he fights them again, it's almost like "what for?":manny:

He can fight Groves, but Groves HAS to beat Froch, or he's gonna be considered even more of a bum.

Let's glance at the RING Top 10 SMW Division:

Champ: Andre Ward
1) Carl Froch = already lost to Ward
2) Mikkel Kessler = already lost to Ward
3) Arthur Abraham = already lost to Ward
4) Robert Stieglitz
5) George Groves
6) Thomas Oosthuzien

7) Sakio Bika = already lost to Ward
8) James DeGale
9) Maxim Vlasov

10) J'Leon Love

Add Julio Cesar Chavez Jr to this and those are 6 fights he can take, with fighters he hasnt already beaten and are Top 10 SMW fighters. I know what he's doing (reaching for the money by calling out GGG and JCC Jr), but he's gonna have to go on a world tour in order to get the money and recognition he's looking for:manny:

right.... wasnt we talking about this shyt yesterday?

I'll give yall that one.

That's a problem with SOG. He downplays opponents (in the media), but then talks about them later as if he's now ready to fight (like he's doing Stevenson). I have no doubt that Ward would beat him and whoever is placed in front of him, but it IS a bad look for him to constantly do this. He's giving his critics ammunition when he does that:snoop:

He just wants a PPV fight. That's all he cares about. Look at the way he's talking as if he's too good for a television fight. :snoop:

“I’m not a Light Heavyweight guys and that’s what it is. I know that there’s been a lot of noise of Kovalev but that’s one fight. That’s not even a pay per view fight. That’s a premium network television fight. And then when I get there, beat Kovalev they’re going to say he’s just a puncher, one dimensional, and then where do I go from there? I’m stuck at Light Heavyweight with no options,” declared Ward.

I don't think Ward-GGG is a PPV fight. Ward-Chavez Jr could be, but I don't know. Ward hasn't really had enough fights on HBO for the casual HBO boxing fan to become familiar with him. There's plenty of people that don't have showtime & would not be familiar with the work he did on that network.

I really cant defend Ward much. He needs to fight the LHWs. Pascal and Stevenson were SMWs the same time Ward was. they didnt move up because they couldnt make weight...they moved up for opportunity. Ironic that both beat Dawson for his LHW belt while Ward made Dawson come down to face him. In hindsight....it wasnt the best move. Ward can still fight at 168 and challenge at 175. Why not? In fact, I'll bet you Stevenson and Pascal can still make 168, they just dont have to. Kovalev prob doesnt want to fight Ward, but what's to stop Dre from calling him out? A lot of fukkery going on with these promoters but that wont keep you out the ring if you truly want to fight....because the promoters need to make money too. You cant sue someone and demand they make fights for you at the same time either. I am sure Goosen will tell him if you want to get back to business, you need to drop the suit for now.
