B-Hop is better than ANYONE Stevenson has ever fought though.....:dwillhuh:

I know that...but that doesnt mean Stevenson cant beat him :rudy:

Stevenson is better than anyone BHop has fought since Dawson. The reason why I think Stevenson has a good chance is because the other guys were basically hand picked. Not that there are not good fighters but they all had glaring weaknesses. I said this before and will say this again...Pascal is an athlete, but an amateur fighter. He only wants to score points and fight in spurts. I thought Shumenov would have a good chance with his speed but the style confused him. Stevenson will be active but he can box. BHop wont be able to take breaks when he wants to. To me, it looks like another close BHop fight in which he will be able to claim he won whether he gets it on the scorecards or not. Stevenson is for real breh. This is no easy fight for him...but its not going to be easy for BHop either.

We just seen B-Hop DOMINATE another Champion in his very last fight (Beibut Shuemunov) and made it look easy.

Stevenson gets dropped by Barry Horowitz and shows a lack of stamina in the process, but B-Hop should be nervous?:dwillhuh:

Im smelling a coli cash bet with somebody in here:ahh:

If Bhop loses it will be a close decision imo, dudes in here talking about knockout :what: :camby:

I don't think Stevenson is trash but I'm not hyped on him like a lot of guys in here are, he has looked great in the division for the same reason BHop doesn't look 49 in the division, lots of jobbers in the top 10.

If Ward wanted to move up to 175 he would clean the division out, easily.

LHW isnt great but it aint bad either. I dont know about Ward cleaning out the division easily. They used to call RJJ "Reluctant Roy". Ward is making Roy look like Manny Pacquiao. Gotta be a reason he sittin around not cashing any checks.

aint nobody knocking out BHop til he is 60. Stevenson can beat him though.

Who do you think would give Ward problems at 175? :sas1:

@theflyest made a great point earlier as well, BHop isn't picking any fights the he doesn't feel he will win decisively at this point.

But Adonis is not a case of BHop going after a guy he sees a flaw in...Bernard wants to be the unified/lineal light-heavyweight champ and he has to fight Stevenson to accomplish that.

I agree with you. Stevenson is not Cloud, Pascal, or Shumenov. All those guys are good but they are imbalanced. Likewise with Pavlik. they all had one thing they could do great...some things they could average...and some things they had serious issues with. Stevenson is more balanced than those guys. Not that he is in a different league than them, they are all close in talent, its just that Stevenson is more balanced. Right now Stevenson is at the top of his game and he has excellent tutelage unlike the other guys. The pedigree of Sugar Hill (Manny Steward) should not be understated. He has the traditional Kronk style...which BHop often has stated he would beat all the Kronk guys back in the day...lol. BHop has a weakness himself though. He doesnt take risks. The way he was cautious with Taylor...you'd have to think he'd be just as if not more cautious with Stevenson.

Now Ward is hiding something :comeon:

nikkas are in here posting about his legal issues with his promoter damn near every week but he isn't fighting because he is hiding something :comeon:

He fought six months ago nikkas, what is he hiding? :mindblown:

we know he has promotional issues, but that's only one side of the story. he couldve fought Stevenson after Dawson got KOed. I call it like I see it and he slowly but surely lost a lot of my respect for him...starting with saying "everywhere I go, people tell me the fight they want to see is Edwin Rodriguez" to calling out Floyd, GGG, JCCjr.

allz the way the fukk up outta here with that :camby:

When did Ward call out Floyd? I was under the impression that they have always been cool, Ward has had multiple workouts at Floyd's gym as recently as the Maidana fight so I'm going to need some receipts for this claim friend. If he did call out Floyd then I don't respect that, Floyd is my height he would look like a kid standing next to Ward.

You lost respect for Ward cool. :yeshrug: How exactly does that mean he is hiding something? :ld: He has promotional issues, it happens.
I asked you earlier who you think gives him problems at 175 and I didn't get an answer. :sas1:

You mention Stevenson so I'm assuming that's who you think gives Ward problems at 175. You don't even feel comfortable picking Stevenson over a 49 year old Hopkins. What do you think an in prime Ward which is pretty much young BHop with a better left than right hand does to him? :sas1:

I honestly don't understand the Ward hate on this boad, you nikkas see mediocre boxers with power and fall in love yet Andre Ward gets hated on. :mindblown:

Stevenson-Hopkins is a 50/50 fight for me just because Hopkins is 49 years old. I try to be as objective about this as possible. Based on what I know about Hopkins, he shouldn't lose to a guy like Stevenson. Life after 160, Hopkins has only lost twice. Each time, he was outworked.

Will Adonis be able to outwork Hopkins? Adonis will be 37 years old himself. Or is Hopkins gonna make him fight at his usual pace?

It's kind of hard for me to evaluate Stevenson. He had a good win against Dawson, but he's been in showcase fights in which he's suppose to win. He's an entertaining guy to watch, has some power, has a little movement, pretty basic guy with a great left hand. He gets KO's, but against better competition that KO percentage always goes down.

I don't hold Stevenson's last performance against him like I see most are. He really was in control before his stamina failed him. Just think about it, Stevenson has only had 4 fights go the distance. The stamina issue is something he will need to address next training camp because if your fighting Hopkins, just assume it's a 12 round fight. Let's also assume he will fight better guys in the future as well.

Also, Fonfara is a decent fighter. As I look the 175lb rankings, there are a lot of unknown undefeated/1 loss guys out there. Who knows what the fukk these guys are capable of if given the opportunity. Due to work obligations, I'm unable to keep up with upcoming guys as much as I use to. It's strictly HBO/Showtime/ESPN for me, but believe me, there's someone out there overlooked, who just needs that opportunity. Stevenson was one of those guys. All I'm saying is don't dismiss Fonfara because he's an unknown. He's young, 6'2, with a some ability. He needs some dog in him though because he should have went all out to get Stevenson out of there in the 9th.

Ward actually did call out Floyd at a catchweight of 160 after Mayweather bashed him for rooting for Guerrero to beat him.
