Gary Russell Jr. ....smh.

He needed to quit throwing all those flurries with no power on em and at the same speed. I was not impressed with him at all in comparison to Lomachenko.

Hopefully he can rebound and start upping his competition so that he can slowly build up his confidence again. I still think he can become Champion one day, but his management has to get him better competition so he isnt put in this position again.

Real good card from Showtime last night. Was entertained through all 5 fights

- Brazille got hit too much against a short notice opponent that was much smaller than him. I wouldn't mind seeing him face Arreola
- Good thing Dawson made short work outta Blades. He definitely didn't need to be going too many rounds with that dude
- Alexander prolly had his best performance since the Maidana schooling. Lots of quick combos and solid boxing. Karass isn't the finished fighter I thought he was
- I hate to use this word, but Russell jr was exposed. Dude is like super fast for no reason. fukking punch accuracy is garbage. Lomo impressed me with his offense and defense.
- Gurrero going life an death against Ippo was not the business. Great action fight though. There's no way I can pick the Ghost against Thruman, Garcia, Porter, Alexander, etc...

Tough night for Guerrero, but people lets not act like a guy that got put on jelly legs off a blown up Julio Diaz would have beat this Japo

:russ:

Keith Thurman probably would have had some trouble as well....I agree. I think he would have won in the end, via ko, but he would've struggled as well

Exactly.

Dude needs to slow the fukk down and pick his punches better. nikka was just holding down turbo the entire fight:heh:

He made Lomachenko look like an elite fighter in there with him, but he lost to Salido so we know he isn't elite.

The thing is, where do we rank Russell? He's not on Loma's level, we all seen the huge talent gap.

The main event was fukking piff. E Honda brought the fight to Ghost. Hell of a fight.

Props to Loma. Still think it was disrespectful he got a shot so early, but it is what it is. Dude is talented as fukk. Props to Russell as well. He showed he had chin and heart, which were 2 things that we questioned about him. I don't think GRJ was exposed at all. He just lost to the better fighter. Call it a learning experience. He'll bounce back and continue to improve. Both will. Loma still has some things he needs to improve on. One thing I've noticed is that he really lacks that killer instinct as well as activity. There were times in the fight he was was getting to Russell and was kinda hurting him. If he turned it up, he could have at least dropped him. But he had to many periods of inactivity. That will come back to bite him later on if he doesn't improve on that. All in all, good fight, and I'm looking forward to seeing them both again soon.

Even the Alexander/JSK fight was a nice scrap.

All in all, great night of boxing

Best card of the year by far. But showtime was on some other shyt last night. The massive amounts of shade they were throwing on Gary Russel, was unreal. Shostats was some of the worst I had ever seen last night, Russel landed 85 punches the entire fight--really? Guerrero doubled up DJ Honda's power punches? And was connecting in the high 40%, thats not what my eyes saw. And if I have to hear about robert guerreros wife's bone marrow transplant and cancer again i'ma whoop Mauro's ass when I see him.

The shade really wasn't that bad at all.. Brian Kenny even defended the draw... but the shade he did get was deserved. That nikka was not accurate. He barely was connecting.. Loma was hitting him whenever he wanted pretty much.. I still think Gary is too talented and hes gonna be a star but he has A LOT of things to work on...Really no shame in this loss either.. Lomo probably beats ever featherweight right now
