Floyd woulda fought Cotto before Margarito got to him if Arum wasn't a complete weasel.
Floyd was willing to sign the extension Arum wanted him to sign that want along with fighting Margarito and completely throw away any shot he had at getting a fight with Oscar if Bob was willing to guarantee him 10 mil to fight Cotto (and Hatton). He wouldn't go higher than 7 mil. Mind you, he was guaranteeing Floyd 8 mil for the Margarito fight

The ghost spells problems for Anyone not named Floyd at WW, even Manny who I would favor in that match I don't feel confident picking because of them being sparring partners, and Guerrero stopping Manny, plus Guerrero has heart to keep coming in spite of all, and a chin that appears/looks like it does 50 pound curls, tall rangy, southpaw too so tough all around, nobody really wants to face him in spite of internet dikkriders, you see how Thurman is pulling a Thurman special MIA after talking his shyt for months, bytch ass fraud irritates me

I'm not saying Floyd is a victim, nor am I saying he deserved 10 million. I'm looking at it from a business standpoint.
Floyd was offered 8 million to fight Margarito. Mind you, Tony was not a big name at all. Nobody really gave a fukk about him until he beat Cotto. 8 mil to fight Marg is fine. However, Cotto and Hatton were much bigger draws with much bigger fanbases. Whether he deserved that kinda money or not, if you're going to offer Floyd 8 mil to fight Margarito, then 10 mil is more than fair enough for a fight with Cotto and Hatton.
Face it, Arum lowballed Floyd in order to create a way out for the situation that even he knew was inevitable, and that was Floyd leaving. And he got that Oscar fight, plus he got the Cotto and Hatton fight, and made way more than he woulda made if he stayed with Arum and took that offer. It's a good thing he's a smart businessman.

Cotto was the bigger draw between him and Margerito and thats the reason why Floyd would have a bigger cut vs Margarito. Bob would've had no choice but to pay Cotto a lot more mkney than he would if Floyd fought Marg.
