fukk Man missed the whole fight again cause that korabov/Jose fight put me to sleep.. I knew Gamboa would get whooped
lol that fight put me to sleep aswell, but the crowd noise for when crawford came out woke me up :wow:

i really dont understand how arum can make him take a paycut to fight in his hometown when he sold out a 10k arena.

Of course, after the fight I see the obligatory "he can beat Broner" statements on here:rudy:

Listen, Crawford won the fight but Gamboa aint no AB my nikkas.

AB is bigger than Gamboa, stronger, just as fast hands and punching accuracy. Plus he has better defense especially against a person who doesn't have fast hands or elite power like Crawford

Gamboa didn't look all that good in his last fight against a member of Los Boricas, plus he hadnt fought in a year, so him losing to Crawford isnt THAT huge of a deal. Still a good victory though.

Let's not forget that Crawford got rocked and was on wobbly legs as well in this fight, so its not like he has an iron chin either:mjpls:

It would be a good fight, but Crawford isnt a clear favorite over Broner like yall talking bout. I think it would be a toss up fight, due to Crawfords nice combination punching/ability to make adjustments and ring IQ/punch placement, but of course I think Broner takes it.

Mikey Garcia should have taken that gamble and fought Gamboa. I don't think he would have been as big of a favorite as Crawford, but he had the countering and overall boxing skills to win. nikka thought he was a super star and wanted mad money. :snoop:. How you going to be fast tracked to a Manny fight and then want to avoid a guy like Gamboa. :what:

Seeing Gamboa fight early, he would have given Mikey a lot of problems. I agree in that the advantages Crawford had over Gamboa, Mikey doesn't.
Mikey isn't naturally as big or has the speed of Crawford. Mikey has good footwork and technique, but he can be low output, naturally doesn't look to carry as much weight, and isn't very fast. Mikey-Gamboa would start off much the same way with Gamboa winning all the early rounds and Mikey having to real him in. Don't think he could do it nearly as easily. Would be a good scrap and still want to see it.
Gamboa likes to admire his work and gets lazy with his defense, nullifying a lot of his skill advantages. When I watch him I just want to yell at him to stay focused for the whole round.

Great fight and deserves to be a top FOTY candidate with Molina-Matthysse.

Crawford did have physical advantages over Gamboa but I dont see that as being the main reason he won. The main reasons were he adjusted and outboxed him. On Gamboa's side, he is obviously a front-runner. Jean Pascal is the same type of fighter....thats why B-Hop beat his ass. They still fight like amateurs. Some just fight like that. Loma fights like a pro. You have to fight more than 3 rounds. I would have to agree with you and I would slightly favor Mikey to beat Gamboa too, because of that amateur frontrunning style he has. If Gamboa cant stop you, he has some flaws that show up later in the fight.

Crawford doesnt have fast hands? :snoop:

I would say his hands are faster than AB. He is definitely a more responsible defensive fighter. AB needs to throw that philly shell in the bushes. :dead:
I didnt say it was an easy fight but Crawford is simply a better boxer and the style AB has doesnt suit him. Paulie's hand speed gave dude fits. I wouldnt sleep on Crawford's power. He is no knockout puncher he he can crack and he goes to the body well. You just cant lean back and wait to counter him.

You make it seem like AB and TC werent fighting at the same weight a lil over a year ago? :mjpls: they are virtually the same size....somewhere between 135-140 comfortable weight. AB is no WW. Even if his hands were just as fast as Gamboa, he doesnt use them the same way. He stands flat footed. Its a good fight, but based on skill and style Crawford is just more solid all around.

Since Provodnikov does not want the rematch, Crawford is the current WBO champion, and he's moving up to 140 in his next fight. Add to the fact they're both Top Rank/HBO fighters.......

We could be seeing Crawford/Algeri next :whew:

thats a good fight. of course I am goin wit my dude but Algeri has a very difficult style, he is a fighter I say could trouble us due to his boxing, movement, and great stamina.
