Nobody saying he's the top welterweight ever. He's generally regarded as the most avoided fighter in boxing during that time period, just look back at that time from 2007-2009 nobody wanted to see him at 147. Yeah he didnt use his height like he should've, but he wasnt Tommy Hearns and his trainer didnt teach him to be that way. His pressure and activity simply overwhelmed fighters and he had a iron chin at 147. Only way you beat him is if you were a slick southpaw.
I guess he's trying to prove something to the fans or whatever, but Lucas is the wrong guy for him to go after in a comeback fight. He needs to fight a warm-up guy like some fringe contender before jumping in with a guy like Lucas.
Matthysee puts him to sleep

I finally got around to watching the Canelo vs Lopez card was I the only one that noticed during Jim Gray's interview with Paul Williams he was having trouble speaking? I could barely understand him at certain points, and he was slurring his words.

Khan vs Soto is set for Dec 8 on the Cotto undercard
yea, Golden Boy wanted it on 12/1 for the Cotto undercard, but supposedly HBO rejected Soto as the opponent. Not sure if it's changed then.i thought cotto is fighting on the 1st of dec?
@ Amir Khan being on the undercard of an event where Cotto's fighting a relatively unknown dude.i thought cotto is fighting on the 1st of dec?
khan is supposedly fighting diego chaves, he's the wba interim champ at 147.
I'm hearing this also I don't know what to believe at this point, apparently HBO is refusing the Khan Soto matchhave to say anyone who thinks serg won 10-2 or 11-1 and lost the event is a fakkit a shouldn't ever watch boxing again
what teh fukk is an event win?
And the thing is Sergio didn't really put on a Hopkins Pavlik boxing lesson or a Mayweather Baldomir lesson, he pot shotted and damn near ran evertime time Chavez got close and started landing, a dominate performance is not getting hit with 46% of his opponents punches, put on his ass and saved by the bell in the final round at that, unfortuntely for Serg no one remembers the beginning of the fight, whether in the ring or street, they remember who got the last, unfortunetly for Serg he was laying on the mat bloody, and blew out his knee from chicken dancing, before the end, it's simply what people will remember.I don't know what's so hard to understand how a boxer can lose but win the event. Examples of this are as follows.
Bute/Andrade 1- Bute whupped dude for the whole fight but was practically KO'ed in the last round.
Jones Jr/Tarver 1- Jones showed heart and won clearly, but Tarver was like the 1st person to really make a competitive fight out of it as well as bruise up Roy's face.
Spinks/Judah 1- Competitive but clear win for Spinks but dude was almost KO'ed in the 12th.
Martinez/Chavez Jr- Sergio puts on a clinic for 90% of the fight only to almost unravel in the end.
Winning the event is usually meant as whoever caused the most memorable 'moment in the fight. If the underdog almost scores a come from behind KO victory that's what a good amount of people will remember whether nikkas like it or not. Usually these kind of fights lead to rematches too.
at anybody who says and try to spin this other wisehave to say anyone who thinks serg won 10-2 or 11-1 and lost the event is a fakkit a shouldn't ever watch boxing again
what teh fukk is an event win?

Mayweather would never lose to a C class fighter like Quitana, Williams was simply ok, and he's a humble dude and all but don't try that shyt
He wasn't avoided he had a shytty promoter and he blew his chance at the big names @147
