Exactly nikka
There's no such thing as lucky punches in boxing.

You train to throw punches so if one does land how the fukk is it luck when that's what you want to do? Saying a nikka landed a lucky punch discredits the effort it took in training to perfect throwing that punch. What part of that do you not understand?

:what:

I mean what's next....You gon start saying boxers don't mean to KO each other and it just sorta happens sometimes. :heh:
I guess Martinez got hit by Lucky punches 4 times in his last 7 matches, and by Antonio Margarito too:snoop:

wtf are you talking about. martinez was everywhere saying how badly he wanted a margarito rematch. when they asked margarito about it he said "maybe " he would do it, but he really wanted pacquiao. then pacquiao put his ass into retirement. then when margo came back against cotto, martinez said that he "prays" margarito wins so he could fight him. then cotto put him back into retirement for good. a couple years ago, martinez said the top 3 guys he wanted to face were paul williams, margarito, and kelly pavlik. but margo wanted no parts of him. he woulda did him like he did pwill in the rematch.

He was always pc, and never called him out like he did other fighters, he always said that if he wins vs cotto I would love to fight him but but but I would have have to talk to my promoter, Sergio didn't truly start mentioning Margarito name until Manny knocked his eye out

DiBella: "Martinez-Margarito Rematch Would Be a murk"

Dibella bytch ass basically said he don't want the match, to sum their saga for you, Margarito bruttally ko'ed his ass, Martinez comes up in name and ducks every legitimate challenge, facing c class fighters and other countries not mumbling his name once, then when Manny beats him oh I would murder him no need to fight :skip:, when the rematch was damn near set in stone before Arum promised Margarito Manny. Martinez simply never wanted it, motherfukker had 12 years to avenge his loss, it's easy to see he never wanted to recieve another brutal beating

You lucky most of the articles of Martinez duckage of Margarito are long gone, and disappeared

There are several other variables to consider here for why people consider this a dominating fight in Martinez's favor. Skip b and company conveniently keep leaving out the fact that Chavez JR has a habit of outweighing his opponents by 20 pounds. nikka looked like he just came from Auschwitz at the weigh in and balloons up to LHW and Cruiserweight levels over night (Personally, I think this is a scummy tactic but gotta hate the game on this one). Chavez uses this advantage and it works with his style. The weight advantage lets him take shots that would hurt smaller guys while he can impose his size over the opponent and walk them into the corner and start pounding on them.

Reason why people were impressed with how Martinez handled dude is because he obviously came with a plan of boxing on the outside and using his foot work to blunt Chavez's plodding but imposing style. Like Roy Jones said, due to his movement, and given the way Chavez's fights, he has to reset and try to setup his attack but the footwork throws a wrench in that shyt. Also, given Chavez's size and just the nature of the game, Sergio was bound to get hit and given Chavez's size advantage, that shyt is going to hurt but Sergio still stood there and traded with him at times anyways :wow: . On paper, all the physical advantages are in Chavez's favor but he just got outworked and outsmarted.

Also you folks keep saying, "oh he wasn't trying" like he had some latent skill he didn't unlock during this fight like a super saiyan or some shyt. JCCjr tried to use the same tactic he used in the andy lee fight which is the basic "walk them to the corner and pound away". There is no skill there just brawn brehs.

Don't act like he had some type of master plan for Chavez, he does the same shyt every match back up and let his one dimensional opponents he chooses follow him while he counters and pot shot, than eventually gets put on his ass too :youngsabo:

And don't mention weight Sergio aint as small as he would like people to believe he has been playing scale games since he started calling out Manny and Floyd, are you gonna act like he didn't come in 174 to the 30 day weigh in, that means most likely his walking around weight with no training is around 180-185, Martinez is the definition of bytch and fraud....................And according to HBO he refused to step on the scale also, so I don't wat hear any excuses to why he got put on his ass

Yall nikkas got me feeling like Black jesus, and I don't even like Chavez:russ:

:childplease:

I didn't say he was bigger than Chavez, you the making excuses for why he got nearly ko'ed and saved by bell, and getting hit with 46% of shots nearly ko'ed is not skill it's luck, luck that he was facing a dude who didnt give one fukk til the end

Martinez aint no little MW that shyt irks me when his fans try to say that bullshyt, like I said Martinez is good but not elite, he is smoke, mirrors and fraud written all over him, let me call out small ww but refuse to fight at your natrual weight and fight Ward

Lou DiBella on Sergio vs Golovkin: 'A fight that economically makes no sense' - Bad Left Hook

Who would give a flying fukk, and why are you even asking?" DiBella said. "Who knows Gennady Golovkin other than you, me and a few other people? How many people would he bring to the table? How much money would he generate? He is the last guy ... He is a very good fighter, but it's a fight that economically makes no sense."

It was suggested to DiBella that perhaps he is afraid to put Martinez in wh Golovkin, a very heavy-handed fighter who is 24-0 with 21 knockouts. DiBella assured us that is absolutely not the case, that it's strictly business.

Golovkin has fought just once in the U.S. and is not a household name, the kind that generates ticket sales and TV revenue. And since Martinez is 37 and a late bloomer as far as making a big name for himself as well as big money, DiBella is simply not interested.

"There are a lot of other fighters who have nothing to do," said DiBella, who has promoted Martinez the past five years. "Let him fight (Dmitry) Pirog. Let him fight someone else who needs to make a name in the States. He (Golovkin) fought a stiff (Grzegorz Proksa) in his last fight. I think Golovkin beats Pirog, I think he beats a lot of the other middleweights.

"But he didn't beat anyone in his last fight and this is Sergio's time to make a lot of money. ... We're not going to fight fights that do not generate any income."

DiBella will be happy to know he has at least one ally in this by the name of Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions.

"Just because a guy shows up once on HBO (against Proksa) and boxing media raves about him and now he feels like he deserves to have a fight against Sergio Martinez, I think that is really ridiculous," Schaefer said.

But it's ok to fight Barker and Macklin, like I said dude is the fraud of frauds, Oh Pirog is credible now, but when he called out Martinez the same shyt:pacspit:

If u fellas watch the Martinez vs Pavlik fight, you'd see Pavlik did a much better job of attempting to cut the ring off. He actually looked smart at times and took control of the fight until round 9 when Sergio bloodied him up.

There was nothing that Pavlik did that Chavez is not capable of doing. The problem is he needs to get his pops training him instead of that dead beat trainer Fred Roach. And yes, punching without having your feet set does take away from your power but those are the types of things your supposed to train for, so it feels more comfortable moving and punching. Chavez was poorly prepared for the fight, showed no knowledge of how to cut the ring off. At least Pavlik at times got his lead foot outside of Martinez's, Chavez i dont think at any point had his foot placed outside of Sergio's. He just chased Martinez, played right into his hands and was a sitting duck for Sergio's punches until the 11th round where he finally applied pressure in a more strategic way.

Hatton to face ex-champ Senchenko in return

Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton will make his long-awaited comeback to the ring against Vyacheslav Senchenko on November 24. The former two-weight World Champion announced his return to the ring earlier this month and has now booked a matchup with the 35-year-old Ukrainian. Hatton, who has been in strict training for several months, and Senchenko will fight over ten rounds at welterweight at the Manchester Arena. Senchenko has an impressive record to his name, losing just one of his 33 professional fights and is a former World Champion.

The Hitman, who will celebrate his 34th birthday next week, retired from the sport last year but, after confirming the bout with Senchenko, admitted he’s itching to get back into the ring.

Much safer fight than power punching Katsidis IMO...

floyd comes in to fights at i think like 150 something so if he had a 20 something pound weight disadvantage, thats like him coming in and fighting a 170 pound and change arthur abraham. thats basically what chavez vs martinez was... floyd mayweatehr vs arthur abraham
