Shumenov, Dorticos Move To Have Lebedev Stripped of WBA Belt - Boxing News

Shumenov thinks he's slick :banderas:

Idk... for once it's unfair that Lebedev still has that title but where he lost was a really close fight which could go either way

if they strip him and these it will be Dorticos vs Shumenov for it then Shumenov will get his ass beat.

Be a former world champion who lost a belt unification fight against a 49 years old guy brehs.... :heh:

From the other forum's Jacobs insider:

If Danny will fight Canelo if he wins:
He will fight Canelo. It's fukking hilarious to see some of this. When has Danny ducked a fight? Just absurd but par for the course I guess. Canelo was the fight we were wanting had we not secured GGG. Canelo told us right off the bat that he preferred the fight later in the year. Money wise for sure we make more there but it just wasn't available. If we're able to beat GGG then it helps us a lot in negotiations. The goal was to get GGG and Canelo next year and so far so good. After that we'll move up. That's our position. We don't want to fight the Sergio Mora's anymore and I'm sure you don't want to watch it either. If Gennady beats us I'll be the first person here to give him props. These are the fights boxing needs.

Random drug testing for the fight?
As of right now no.

Thoughts on GGG?
I think everyone should be a GGG fan. I have nothing but good things to say about him and he gets props for taking the fight. May the best man win. You won't hear us talking sit in the media. Mutual respect.

Game plan vs. GGG and sparring partners?
I know his tells but he is vulnerable to the body. He telegraphs his counter hook which is perfect for Danny's overhand right. Danny is going to to beat him. His tape is similar to Peter. Gotta keep the rest on ice. Thanks. Curtis Stevens and Mike Marshall will start. Erislandy and hopefully the Charlos to finish depending on their fight schedule. Mike Lee is a possibility too as well as Tony Grano (a Heavyweight but not really). We've spoken to Chad Dawson too. This camp is going to be serious business. Yeah, he was disinterested to be honest but he was definitely off. His jab was slow and he was going through the motions. GGG is definitely beatable but Danny has to work from the outside in and use the body. If he does that we walk away with a win. I told him flat out if he gets stupid and tries to exchange toe to toe then he'll go to sleep. We have told him that but it's a bad habit (going to the ropes). He always does it. He used to back up with his chin in he air too. We're going to hope he circles on Gennody's hook and then counters. GGG is a great fighter and we have nothing negative to say about him but this is Danny's time.

On Danny's corner:
Danny is stubborn. He really doesn't listen to Dre. He listens to Mikey and me. It's been an issue since Vic died. Neither one of us is a trainer though. If you wonder why Danny is listening to the crazy Italian dude in the corner that's Mikey. I'm the dude right behind the corner always yelling lol.
All that aside, we have a good game plan. As I said before Danny is winning this fight.

Betting on the fight:
Put your money on Danny. Everyone wrote him off against Peter too. GGG is obviously a much better fighter but you're going to be very surprised.

If DJ plans on beating triple G by countering his counter he's in trouble.

I think Danny has a good shot at winning this. GGG hasn't really fought a solid black MW fighter. It's different

lol not when they have avg chins breh.

but I believe Jacobs can hurt ggg too cause brook stunned him about two times, but it was nothing serious. just surprised he made a mw stop coming forward and bleed.:ohhh:

Does anyone in boxing have a chin more bizarre than James Kirkland?

The nygga is literally ready to go within the first 4 rounds of a fight. You got a legit chance to KO him, even if your a light puncher.

After the 4th or 5th round though, he actually has a solid chin and is a pain in the ass to deal with.

Beterbiev demolishes Prieto
IBF #2, WBA #3, WBO #3, WBC #4 light heavyweight contender Artur Beterbiev (11-0, 11 KOs) easily destroyed Isidro Ranoni Prieto (26-2-3, 22 KOs) in the first round of a clash for the WBA NABA title on Friday night at the Lac Leamy Casino in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. Beterbiev set the tone by dropping Prieto in the first 30 seconds. He then floored him again later in the round and the reeling Prieto couldn’t continue. Time was 2:44.
