I actually believe canelo-little could do 700k+. even though canelo usually does 300k vs nobodies, I don't think that's his ceiling. he did 300k with lara way back. people were surprised at the number considering lara had no drawing power. but competitive fights bring out more casuals. I think if he had fought lara today it would do around 400k. I think if he fought jermall charlo right now, it would do over 400k. that don't mean charlo has 100k of ppv drawing power. but people would tune in cause they know it would be competitive and because they know canelo could actually lose. I think every superstar fighter has hardcore fans and regular fans. the harcores will buy their fights no matter what. the regular fans will only buy it if it's competitive. and that's why only the hardcore nelo fans bought the liam smith fight....they knew liam smith had no chance. overall, canelo definitely got a stronger fan base than 300k though. that's just his absolute base. and a canelo-little g fight will bring out the hardcores, regular, and the casual fans who don't even watch boxing. shyt would be promoted on every network and the word of mouth alone would be insane.

now canelo-chavez is a different animal. this shyt could land anywhere from 700k to over 1 mil easy. with the huge mexican population in america there's just no telling. either way, the gate alone is gonna be fukkin massive. could be one of the hugest in boxing history. especially if they held it at cowboy stadium. they could charge out the ass and still sell that shyt out. 80k people in attendance to watch a boxing fight.....the energy in that bytch would be godly:wow:

If they fight (Canelo/Chavez), you gotta be there breh:banderas:

The sonning Canelo is going to give Jr....they gonna have to refer to that nikka as Julio Cesar Alvarez Jr from now on:mjlol:

I hope they fight in May:wow:

i'm telling you. the shyt gonna be floyd-gatti esque. chavez sr gonna be threatening to stop the shyt by the 3rd round. but jr will have a rally at some point, only for canelo to flip the tables and body him. shyt is gonna be beautiful :wow:

THERE YOU GO...

Dude is a good poster but his GGG stanning and Fat Dan worshipping is just too much imo.

I get sooo fukking mad when neggas crucify Ward and call him a diva. Nobody calls GGG a diva for telling HBO to pay him 1-2 mil per fight on regular tv when he fighting scrubs. Heck, Porter got paid less than a mil for Thurman ( after fees ). GGG is also a face for Jordan and he's all over the media. It's mind boggling ppl can't see that the media is all pro-GGG. You got bytch neggas thinking of ways to shyt on Ward during Xmas. U got Steve Kim (who's Asian) shytting on Ward and lying his ass off, but u wanna mention them to make a case that Ward is a diva ? :dahell:

They don't even wanna shyt on GGG for turning down 15 mil to face Canelo. Dude thinks he deserves more than Cotto did vs Floyd and Canelo.

I ll say it again. NOBODY GIVES A fukk ABOUT GGG except for casual CACs, FLoyd haters, HBO, and the Fat Dan worshippers.

They're always like "why u defending Ward so much ?" :dame:

I respect Ward a whole lot. If he went up to fight Kov, you think he shook of Mr "no 168, but 168 for Froch is ok" ? :mjlol:
Breh, I know we go back and forth, but always come together out of respect because this ring shyt is fun and not personal. But the initial tone of the post is what I try to dissuade around here. It is always feeling like people trying to tell me what my opinion is and not actually hear a breh out to find it out from the man himself.

Just because I post the Dan chats, doesn't mean I co-sign them. Stated that a lot. I do it because it is interesting and a lot of other brehs find it interesting. It is designed to spark discussion. I don't have a problem with anyone who disagrees with Dan, in fact I disagree with his opinions a lot.

In regards to GGG, I honestly don't know what it is. Everybody has stan sets here and gets to champion their stan set to ultimate fukkery levels and I love it because that is one of the things that makes this place great. Sometimes stanning is done on the level, sometimes with blinders on and sticking up for your fighter at all costs. It is cool, we all understand that, that is what stan sets are about. For some reason GGG has that ether that others can't tolerate any type of stanning. Honestly the only figher I can think of that is received that way here. All the more reason to keep on repping #GGGoodBoys.

And I will say it again, when it comes to GGG-Canelo, I view it the same as Canelo-JCC. Give Canelo 2/3 of the pot (and more of the Mexican revenue vs. GGG)and let the fight sell itself. I like idea of fighters earning fair pay off of what they generate. Fight not might do that well and GGG will make less or the fight might do well and he might earn more. Just call me skeptical from a business aspect when someone expects you to take their first offer a year out. Is what it is...an opinion. $5 million + revenue seemed low for JCC.

Like I have said before, I respect your hustle and know you have access to inside info, so I don't dismiss what you say and look forward to talking facts or opinions.

maybe not floyd. but the cotto fight he can definitely claim. canelo-khan did more buys than cotto-martinez. and just watch cotto's numbers vs kirkland. bet he won't do 300k. or right near. cotto-floyd did 1.5 mil. floyd-canelo did 2.2. canelo definitely the bigger draw.

Canelo's attendance for his fights + ppv show that he's a bigger draw....but he just wasn't the A-Side for that fight.

Cotto had the resume, had been on PPV more times, and was the WBC/RING Champion. He was the A-Side which is why he was paid more....that's what I argued. And he was.

Breadman's year end awards and his hopes for 2017 @Newzz.

Fight of the Year:
I would say Yamanaka vs Moreno. This was an underground classic. Top skill, lots of violence, knockdowns on both sides and a conclusive ending. I know Frampton vs Santa Cruz and Thurman vs Porter are more viewed fights but this fight was better than both of those classics.

Trainer of the Year is a tricky one.
I have 4 candidates. Two never get mentioned.
Mike Stafford who trains Adrien Broner, Robert Easter and Rashee Warren never gets mentioned. But two of his guys had great years and won their first world titles in 50/50 fights.
Manny Robles has some really good young talents in Terrell Gausha, Oscar Valdez and Jason Quigley. He seems to be doing it the hard way from the ground up but he deserves some mention.
Abel Sanchez a more well known coach continues to do a great job. All of his fighters are extremely physically strong. All have great stamina and all are strong punchers. GGG, Gassiev and Shafikov all have big wins this year. Even his gatekeeper Carson Jones scored another big win. Sanchez is doing a great job out the Summit.
Shane McGuigan. I just can’t get over the job that young Shane is doing with Carl Frampton. If you have the eye you can see that Frampton is as well coached a guy as there is in boxing. McGuigan is probably the best coach under 40 in boxing.

Comeback of the Year has to be Abner Mares.
In this era you can’t get stopped or you’re considered damaged. Mares gets stopped and proves not only is he not damaged but he wins a huge fight as an underdog. Great job Abner.

My Fighter of the Year would also be Carl Frampton. Winning two huge fights on the road against undefeated in their prime opponents does it for me.

In 2017 what is the one thing that boxing needs to better itself?

Bread’s Response: Better testing! And not optional testing… The standard testing in boxing is not enough. And with fighters taking off for over 6 months at a time on a regular basis in this era it’s bizarre that unless they voluntarily asked to be tested then they don’t get randomly tested. Everyone in the top 10 should be in a random pool of testing. VADA is the most efficient priced and comprehensive testing you can do. I still don't understand why it's not mandated.

Those are the facts that everyone in the media, industry, and GGG's team seem to agree on. Ward is the only one who postures any differently.

But you could tell this fight was never going to happen from either side. Now it is past and most likely never happen and I think m osteoporosis are over the idea of this fight with them 2 weight classes apart.

Both parties need to shut the fukk up and keep each others names out there mouths. It is done, who cares.
Man get all the way the fukk out of here.

Only one been talking was GGG team. ward didn't say shyt. They just kept talking like the shyt was good. He got tired of it after a while and called them out on their bullshyt.

It's a fact they were willing to face Chavez at 168 but not ward. They wanted him at 164.

:ehh:

I think the GGG hate is warranted and comes from media members shytting on other people for the same diva and fukk shyt they adore GGG for (Wilder is a good example). People are also very resistant to GGG because it has a racist undertone to it. It's like the media are saying "yeah we know we're supporting him cuz he's white and so what :yeshrug:"

WHen you spend years shytting on fighters, you can't just cosign ther bullshyt GGG is pulling right now breh
