:ehh:

I think the GGG hate is warranted and comes from media members shytting on other people for the same diva and fukk shyt they adore GGG for (Wilder is a good example). People are also very resistant to GGG because it has a racist undertone to it. It's like the media are saying "yeah we know we're supporting him cuz he's white and so what :yeshrug:"

WHen you spend years shytting on fighters, you can't just cosign ther bullshyt GGG is pulling right now breh
See I can understand and get down with your point there. I don't disagree. Been one of my problems for a while is that I feel boxing writers are glorified stan sets who get giddy at the idea at meeting their "heroes". Very few seem to actually be in it for strictly reporting reasons. And I don't blame people for disliking GGG for the fact that Steve Kim, Dan Rafael, and Dougie Fischer can't keep his nuts out there mouth. And the media is racist...but...brehs here want to impose that hatred of GGG created by the scenarios you laid out into the reason why I like GGG.

When it comes down to it I like GGG for his personality (not Abel's dumb ass) and the fact he fights an aggressive exciting style. Of aggressive styles he has my favorite right now.

And honestly I don't know what to make of HBO right now...I think they are so caught up in their own ego, they can't even create a straight narrative other than they like GGG. They absolutely disrespected the magnitude of Ward-Kovalev and hurt that fight. The way they push Canelo-GGG they should be pushing Crawford-Pacquiao.

And you are right with Wilder...Dude should be a star. Part of that is PBC/Showtime to me in that I feel like he could be marketed better, the other part is he should be Showtime's top guy. An American HW champ who has fight changing power, he should be a top 5 name in boxing right now. And I don't blame Wilder one bit. Dude has a good personality, has out himself on TV doing the promo bits, and until the injury was active. And the media so quick to tear him down, yet aren't trying to build him up to get hype for Joshua, Fury, ect...

Agree, liking GGG or having him as a favorite is no problem and I can actually understand it

I never even attacked nobody for that and never will

For me he is a little too methodical but not everyone seeks the same things in fighters as me, many different tastes so it's okay...

from the home of coca-cola, i'm not referring to s
Well then Khan gets to shout out numbers too bc w/o Cotto or Floyd, Canelo is doing 300-350ks....vs Khan he did 600k.

So according to that logic, does that mean Khan is A-Side over everyone at 147 except Toradol...just because he was B-Side on a good selling PPV vs Canelo?:jbhmm:

Sure if he didn't his ass knocked clean the fukk out

can any of you decipher what exactly do you like in fighters i general? Like... What decides who will be your favorite fighters? Is there a special style or personality you buy into or it's seemingly totally mixed?

I for example can't really tell exactly... There are some things I know I like and don't like bout fighters but there are exceptions as well... So I can't really put my hands on exactly what decides who will be my favorites at the end of the day

I don't have a rhyme or reason to why I like fighters. Looking back on my history they are all over the place.
A lot of times people gravitate to a particular style, but I find myself enjoying lots of styles.

I do like Thurman's style, but my biggest reason is his personality. Dude is funny as fukk to me and his trash talk game would fit in on this board.

Love Crawford because he is mean as fukk in the ring. I like that dude takes everything personal and doesn't want to coast in the ring. He is willing to keep his foot on the accelerator, where most fighters of his skill level will try to decision you. Excited to see what Spence does. If he stays at 147 for a bit, I think he becomes Mr. Unfukkwitable there.

Like the technicians too. Andrade just needs a chance and also get rid of his self imposed layoffs, he could run 154. Excited for Mikey Garcia to be back and active. Lomachenko too...he, Andrade, and Garcia all use their techniques differently.

Lol, I was just posting that above. Your post I quoted made me think why I like certain guys, and I can't find a particular reason.

Again I know u a GGG stan and it's hard to be objective and I applaud u for trying to be. However tell me what GGG has done to market himself ? See, he doesn't have to lift a finger cuz he's white and he gets that entitlement and that protection.

PBC has tried their best to promote their fighters. Their problem is they don't have any media backing at all. Only Eli and Fighthype are trying to promote them. A few other boxing bloggers trynna shout em out honestly. You even got RagingBabe going in on PBC any chance she gets like one of those neggas didn't let her get an exclusive story to break her career and shyt. Sorry @Newzz my negga.

When you going against establishments you ain't gonna win easily no matter what u do. Lotta those media people actually frown upon PBC cuz Haymon pissed off some people they suck off. Like its any of their business. PBC kept boxing relevant the past 2 years and put on the better cards but the media will tell you how great GGG/Brook or GGG/Lemieux was. Again it goes back to racism and waring to see Black as inferior any chance they get.

I'll never forget how Dan was campaigning for Floyd Berto to flop and telling people not to pay for it and stream it.

He does take drug tests:manny:

What demands are he making?:jbhmm:

For the Lineal Middleweight Champion to defend the Championship against him, in a match up of #1 vs #2 Middleweights, at the full 160 pound limit....and to properly compensate him because of his name being used to market/hype/promote the match up?:jbhmm:

That's an absurd demand to you breh?:jbhmm:

Since Canelo is officially moving up to 160 full time, I want to see him do everything he can to make a fight vs the best. I really don't know why that's a problem:heh:

I believe anywhere between 70/30 - 60/40 across the board is a fair split for what both bring to the table so why not just offer a ppv % split (like in every OTHER big fight in Boxing history) & make the fight?:dahell:

You're right. What I'm saying is when GGG makes demands, it's okay. Everybody else then it's an issue. U a diva and a coward.

:whoa: I am not saying GGG doesn't benefit from that or that I think it is fair. My point is when I talk GGG it is for my interest in him as a fighter, not for the agenda. I do feel too many brehs here are offended by the GGG agenda, which I understand, but need to separate my stanning vs. HBO /media stanning.

As I mentioned, they deserve to be called out. The writers can't wait to tear down Wilder instead of marketing him vs. Joshua, etc. Even HBO is p*ssy footing around putting pressure on Pacquiao to fight Crawford and I have always stated that HBO's handling of Kovalev-Ward was terrible. Garcia-Thurman will be interesting. It will be the best fight since Ward-Kovalev (which was always shyt promotion) and likely the biggest fight of 2017, unless Canelo-GGG happens. If you are a media member and can't help promote that fight, you don't even care about the sport.
