Them past it Margarito fights been entertaining as hell though.

I know nikkas hate Chavez Jr, but he ain't underwater in this fight. Even with that lil semi double chin, he actually looks like he's training on a consistent basis.

nikkas expected him to show up looking like Tony Soprano after a pasta dinner.

:wow: :russ: :dedkhan:

Angulo: Canelo Lacking The Heart and Balls To Face Golovkin

By Miguel Rivera

Middleweight contender Alfredo 'Perro' Angulo did not hold back his feelings about countryman Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

Angulo faced Canelo in 2014. He was stopped in ten rounds in what was Canelo's first pay-per-view as an A-side headliner.

The rugged Mexican brawler made some very harsh statements when asked for his opinion as to why Canelo (48-1-1, 34 KOs) was facing Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at 164.5-pounds - while refusing last year to fight unified champion Gennady Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs) at the middleweight limit of 160-pounds.

Angulo feels Canelo should be fighting Golovkin, and not Chavez Jr., on May 6th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

In his opinion, Angulo feels Chavez Jr. will struggle to make the agreed upon catch-weight, which he says was a motivating factor in Canelo making that fight.

"Why [is Canelo fighting Chavez at 164.5 and not Golovkin at 160]? Because there is something that I've always said. There is something that fighters have that coaches can not teach or give to them - and that's heart and what hangs from every man (balls)," said Angulo for Villainfy Media.

"[Canelo] does not want to fight with Golovkin because Golovkin is a hard puncher, he is a strong at 160. [Canelo] has no problem [fighting at] 160. With Chávez, what they are going here [is draining him]."

"Chavez likely does not have the same level of skill that Golovkin has, they know he's going to struggle with the weight, they know he's going to have to squeeze down. Those are the tactics that they are using in this fight. He will fight Chavez and win a lot of money, instead of facing a Golovkin where maybe the amount of money will be the same."

"It's all about two similar purses [that Canelo can earn], but [Chavez does] not have the same quality of a Golovkin, a Golovkin that is a natural 160 pounder. Golovkin is not going to fight to make the 160 pound limit, unlike Chavez who will [struggled to get to 164.5]."

Chavez: Canelo Picked Me Over GGG For 'Easier Fight, More Money'

By Keith Idec, photo by Rich Kane

NEW YORK – Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. isn’t insulted.

He knows Canelo Alvarez picked him for his next fight because Alvarez considers Chavez a lower-risk, higher-reward proposition than Gennady Golovkin, despite Chavez’s significant size advantage. The enigmatic ex-middleweight title-holder is fine with that now that he has been presented with a lucrative chance to begin changing his damaged image May 6 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (HBO Pay-Per-View).

“Canelo needs to fight me and I need to fight him,” Chavez said Tuesday before a press conference at Hard Rock Café in Manhattan. “I think this fight happened because Golden Boy flipped a coin. [They think] Chavez is easier than Golovkin and they’ll make more money. That’s why this fight happened.”

The 31-year-old Chavez admits that he was surprised Alvarez agreed to fight him, even at a catch weight of 164½ pounds.

Chavez (50-2-1, 32 KOs, 1 NC) figured they were too far apart in weight for them to meet at this point. He also has watched closely as Alvarez avoided fighting Golovkin, and expected the Mexican superstar to choose a smaller opponent, with less power, for his next fight.

“I was very surprised,” Chavez said. “I never thought this fight would happen because of the weight difference and because Canelo, I think De La Hoya made a good career finding him opponents. This fight, I think it’s a little dangerous for Canelo. After the Lara fight and Mayweather, I didn’t see Canelo take a risk.”

Guadalupe Valencia, Chavez’ attorney, added that without fighting Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs), Alvarez needs Chavez to help re-establish himself as a pay-per-view star following back-to-back pay-per-view events drew fewer buys than anticipated. Though Alvarez (48-1-1, 34 KOs) is listed as a 10-1 favorite, Alvarez-Chavez could emerge as the most successful pay-per-view show of 2017 and will be an enormous event throughout their native Mexico.

“The reality for Canelo’s people is this – his last pay-per-view [did] 220,000 [buys],” Valencia said, referring to Alvarez’s ninth-round knockout of England’s Liam Smith on September 17 in Arlington, Texas. “His next pay-per-view was gonna be less than that. And so, they needed this fight because it was either Julio or Golovkin, like [Chavez] said.”

He tries with this mental tactic too to shame Canelo because of he didn't fight Golovkin yet? :heh:

Liam Smith did that too, he ran his mouth about Golovkin all the time. Did that tactic work? How it ended up? :jbhmm:

It's truth though....we all know that's the reason Canelo chose him: easier fight & more money, with the added benefit of making himself the undisputed Mexican Idol:manny:

He leaves the most dangerous opponent to last cause he can do it. Business-risk logic... I don't say I like it but it's not like he doesn't dare to fight him...
With talking about Golovkin needless they want to play mental games I guess that's why I said it already didn't work for "Beefy"
