:whoa: don't ask him any more questions about his love life. We know to much already :sadbron:

:salute: to Hopkins but this light heavy division is extremely boring. Best fighter has mental issues and the second best is 48 :upsetfavre:

“If I’m healthy and ready to go mentally and physically, I don’t think anyone at the 175 pound weight class, and possibly the 168 pound weight class, can beat me. You have a good fighter [Nathan Cleverly] in England. There are some decent 168 pounders. Andre Ward is a protégé of mine. I would never fight Andre Ward.”

Golden Boy is planning on matching up their other heavyweight prospect, Deontay Wilder, against recent David Price conqueror Tony Thompson in Alabama where Wilder resides.

Former 3-division champion Miguel Cotto will return sometime this fall and prefers to go straight to another world championship bout at 154, either from Puerto Rico or New York. Saul “Canelo” Alvarez is the front runner for that bout if he gets by Austin Trout in a unification bout.

Golden Boy...

Thurman just earned a shot at Timothy Bradley yet he called out Paulie Malignaggi :dwillhuh:

Dude...Bradley can't generate any interest in fights with main event fan favorites let alone with an up and comer that nobody really knows. Thurman/Malignaggi would have been a more marketable fight from jump let alone after the two of them beefing at thet post-fight press conference.
People (Bradley himself especially) are just going to have to realize, nobody cares about Tim Bradley.

i really wish pascal-cloud wasn't cancelled..that would have been a good slugfest that could have been a shot in the arm for 175

WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns has signed a promotional deal with Matchroom Boxing. The two-weight World Champion will fight for the first time under Eddie Hearn on May 11, at a venue to be announced soon. Burns’ last outing was his comprehensive win over Kevin Mitchell at the SECC in Glasgow on September, where the 29 year old defended his title in style with a fourth round stoppage. Burns follows unbeaten Commonwealth super middleweight star George Groves from the Frank Warren stable into the Matchroom stable, and the 29 year old said he cannot wait to get back in the ring.

“I’m delighted that my future has been resolved and I really looking forward to the next chapter of my career,” said Burns. “It’s been a frustrating time since the Kevin Mitchell win in September but now I’m just focused on May 11 and putting in a great performance.

Since being promoted and managed by Frank Warren, Ricky Burns has earned just approaching three quarters of a million pounds and has had 7 world title fights in just over two years. Ricky Burns is under binding promotional and management contracts. Following the announcement by Eddie Hearn that Ricky Burns has signed with him, W. Promotions Limited and Frank Warren are suing Burns for substantial damages.

Guess we won't be seeing Ricky in 2013...

Leo Santa Cruz, who recently gave up his bantamweight world title to move up to junior featherweight, likely will appear on the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Robert Guerrero fight in one of the bouts featured on the Showtime PPV telecast. He said they’re working on a fight between Santa Cruz (23-0-1, 13 KOs) and faded former champ Rafael Marquez (41-8, 37 KOs). Marquez has been promoted by Zanfer and Top Rank -- the Golden Boy rival -- but Schaefer said Marquez is now a free agent and they are working on the fight.
